Subbing thoughts and poll

Viikii doesn't seem to be contemporaneously subbing either Dong Yi, Personal Taste or Cinderella Unni (Prosecutor Princess is safe, however).

Now, all of these are going to be subbed by withs2 who are good and pretty regular with their subs. But that still means I have to wait for subs, even if not too long - there are some dramas I will venture to watch raw but wordy melodramas, snappy romcoms, or lengthy historicals are not them. Not to mention I only watch raws when I am TRULY obsessed (IRIS, Chuno, Silence etc) and I am not obsessed about any new dramas yet.

What viikii gives someone as short-attention-span as me is a guaranteed regularity. E.g. if a drama aired on Tuesday I know by Wednesday subs will be up. This isn't true with any proper, tradtional subbing group - you never know the sure date on which subs will be released and so unless I am truly obsessed, my attention wanders.

So, since I am going to have to wait anyway and lose the 'benefits' of steady contemporaneous watching, I am seriously considering actually shelving Personal Taste and Cinderella Unni until half the subs are out - that way I can binge. For Dong Yi I don't plan to wait till half the subs are out - the sheer number to watch would be intimidating. I'll wait till 4 or so eps are out instead.

After all, I am always marathonning a drama (this will be a good chance to catch up - I love marathonning so much), not to mention I am following Oh My Lady (haven't watched this week's eps yet), plan to follow Prosecutor Princess if it's good and (don't laugh) plan to give A Man Called God another chance. Not to mention I have a bazillion of Down with Love eps to catch up on.

I find myself being able to do it easily maybe because while I am interested in the 3 dramas mentioned, it's a normal level of interest, not an incipient obsession (like hell are you going to catch me waiting until Road N.1 or Daemul are half subbed in their entirety and I am going to gobble Athena and Bad Guy raws as fast as I can get them).

But still, it's fun to fandom so - POLL.

bad love was so awful. I enjoyed it till I got spoiled, then I couldn't sustain my interest because one of my fave horrid characters died.

I was initially interested in Cinderella Uni but with each teaser video and promo pic that came out I became less and less interested until it finally lost me completely with the latest photo shoot. It looks childishly melodramatic.

I LOVE waht I've seen of Personal Taste but I have pretty much zero time to watch dramas right now and I do like marathoning dramas so I'm planning on waiting until a decent number of eps in so wait with me and then we can marathon! *drools*

I'm watching this weeks episodes RAW. I'll get a feel for them and see which ones I'll watch now and which I'll watch after they are fully subbed - if I watch them at all. I just finished Cinderella's Unni (not a surprised, considering how I've been harping on it). Overall, the music isn't my thing, but it's not as melodramatic as the teasers make it look.

I am on such a high from "Chuno" still - I think I need another sageuk, so I am going to watch Dong Yi and ignore the rest for now (I have some others to finish).

I usually can't watch the same 'type' of a drama as one I was obsessed over - I end up watching something very different.

(I loved Chuno and was obsessed with it when it aired but for some reason I was able to move on quickly - I rarely have a problem with that - I think only IRIS, Legend and Worlds Within got me that way and even then not for long).

I don't get obsessed for long - this is a part of my problem with seasonal shows, that I only have very short attention span , but I find myself often sticking to the same theme or actors. I never was one for too much period dramas (because "everyone dies" is not my kind of stories), but "Chuno" ended well giving me hope that there might be some more of good ending period dramas.

I also have some rom-coms still to finish..

what I wanted to say is : Why would you watch something as bad as Bad Love(for the 2nd time) when there are other options like continuing with FH watchalong or watching NO REGRETS for example?
AND I agree FH is way too long for recaps!!!

I haven't seen BL yet so no second time - I've seen bits and am very spoiled but I haven't properly watched the drama.

For some reason FH isn't grabbing me *hides* after the first 3 eps. I like it but I am not obsessed with it.

Sorry about that , for some reason I thought you watched Bad Love already.
There is nothing spectacular about the first 3 episodes of FH ,BUT you are going to love FH when the romance truly starts(episode 10?).
