Poster for Bad Guy

dangermousieI feel like I am turning into some sort of a one-woman cheerleader for Bad Guy but - but - OK, I am.
Have a poster of the main cast:
Thoughts:
1. Kim Nam Gil. All I can say is AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! Also, I am glad he didn't cut his hair too short. Not that many guys look good with longer hair but he does. He does edgy and passionate and dangerous really well so it seems the role was tailor-made for him.
2. I like the stylish dark vibe.
3. Han Ga In is gorgeous. I don't think she's the world's best actress (but then, neither Witch Yoo Hee nor Super Rookie were designed to show off anyone to their best advantage) but I like her vibe and I think she will do well enough with proper direction. Side note - I saw someone commenting she looks fat. Earth to commenter - if she is fat, the rest of human population is morbidly obese. The girl is TINY. Bizarre.
4. KNG and HGI are holding hands and I am already shipping them.
5. Kim Jae Wook still looks like a (very hot, vaguely androgynous) girl even with short hair but I kinda adore my Waffle Prince even if that is not normally my type. I am influenced by what I saw in the trailer which was excellent.
6. I think the only one in the cast that can match Kim Nam Gil's intensity is Oh Yoon Soo (La Dolce Vita, Jumong - she blew me away in them). I am very curious as to their relationship - poster makes it looks a bit posessive. She is no stranger to older woman/younger man drama coupling (LDV was all about that) but I am pretty sure that whatever her character is, it will be miles away from the unvalued woman in a cold marriage who discovers love with a younger man even more damaged than she is a la LDV.
7. I know the premise is revenge - KNG wants to bring down KJW's world because KJW's father wronged him. It faintly reminds me of the plot of Taiyou No Kisetsu - I love these sorts of morally grey plots.
8. I am enjoying Oh My Lady and am looking forward to all Wed-Thurs dramas. But nothing gets my blood pumping the way Bad Guy does.

Date: 2010-03-31 02:23 am (UTC)The melodrama label still sets off warning bells for me, but Bad Guy is starting to look really good. Then again, I'd probably still watch it even if SBS ran a 1 hour special on Kim Nam Gil watching grass grow.
I think I read somewhere on a Korean site that Oh Yeon Soo = Kim Jae Wook's older sister. Or somehow related, anyway. If so, we might have some angst there between her + KNG~

Oooooh, interesting.
Well, whichever way this drama ends up, it's gotta be cheerier for KNG's character than his Bidam ending (that was about the most perfect depressing thing there was).

In Bad Guy's posters Kim Nam Gil really looks like a sexy bastard/beast(your choice) but I don't like his hair from his latest press cons... hit me here... still craving for those flowers and his hairstyle like that:
