Ha Ji Won in Athena (IRIS2)

Ha Ji Won has been cast as the leading lady of Athena.

I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED NOW!!!!

When I was doing fantasy casting for Athena's leading lady, she was my top choice except for Jeon Ji Hyun (and they were never going to be able to afford her and JWS at the same time :P).

I love her to bits - she played one of the most kick-ass drama heroines of all time, in Damo. And it will be her first drama since 2006 - she has been doing movies since.

She is very age-appropriate - she is 31, Jung Woo Sung is 37 and Cha Seung Won is 39. She is also tiny - 20cm or so shorter than either of the guys, thus satisfying my tall guy/tiny girl fetish perfectly!

Did I mention she is super kick-butt?

With Jung Woo Sung, Ha Ji Won and Cha Seung Won as the leads? The plot could be about the search for missing cheese and I won't care!

But to think that these 3 will star in a story about spies, evil organizations, angst and explosions? OMGOMGOMG.

kfandramausa from CSW's soompi thread said the news may not be true as of yet. here's her post:
"UPDATE: It's announced that there's a conflict with Ha Ji-Won's schedule so her appearance in Athena is not true. Wishful thinking too. The final casting will be announced soon..."

I'm not sure tho which of the two news is more updated. WAAAAAAA I'm crossing my fingers and my toes that HJW's indeed confirmed for the role. Oh Gawd I'm already drooling just imagining her be such a total bada**!!

Like Hagrid said above, apparently she has scheduling conflicts, but who knows? Article on Dramabeans says HJW denied the rumors.

I think she's so gorgeous and spunky—her Family Outing guesting was hilarious, but I admit I haven't seen much of her! I'm deathly afraid of Something Happened in Bali and have only gotten up to episode 8 of Hwang Jin Yi. :O

I really don't care which female actress they pick, just gimme gimme GIMME! :x

In my opinion, the lead actress role should go to Lee Dae Hae. She is refined
funny actress. She can take on any role and perform well.
on that link provided by robotmatsuri and I almost peed on my pants!

I couldn't imagine LDH in such a role like this! And I wonder what does it take to be called a refined actress? All my brain could really come up with is * refined sugar* . bwahahahahahahaha!
