I was watching Rebecca last night..

...and I just love those quotes:

Maxim (to second Mrs): "Happiness is something I know very little about. If you say we're happy, let's leave it at that."

and

Maxim: "I can't forget what it's done to you. I've been thinking of nothing else since it happened. It's gone forever, that funny young, lost look I loved. It won't ever come back. I killed that when I told you about Rebecca. It's gone. In a few hours, you've grown so much older."

And in completely unrelated quotes, this is from the John Gilbert bio (he is talking to his wife No. 2 with whom he had a really rocky marriage): "Leatrice, I'm going to have a child. If you won't have a child by me, I'm going to go out and find a prostitute who will." Hmmmm.......

ROFL! In a further, good-for-Bollywood twist, they apparently did end up having a child and then she filed for divorce barely weeks before the kid was born and didn't allow him to see the kid or even be present at the delivery or anything, so he actually had to sneak into the hospital and similar...

The guy had a very Bollywood life, I suppose :)
