Bad Guy - looking good!

The trailer for Kim Nam Gil's upcoming Bad Guy is out and it's frelling amazing. It's just catapulted to my most anticipated spring drama, even if we do have to wait till May (thanks boginje for the link). If Kim Nam Gil and dysfunctional hard-boiled darkness isn't enough to tempt you, it has Waffle Guy and Ha Ga In.

Updated Spring Dramas level of interest is as follows: (1) Bad Guy (2) Oh My Lady (3) Road No. 1 (4) Personal Preference (5) Prosecutor Princess (6) Dong Yi (7) Cinderella Unni (8) Kim Soo Ro. (Not interested in the other spring dramas).

That's exactly what I thought too. I didn't really have interest in this until I saw the trailer.

The dramas on your spring roster look awfully lot like what's on mine, ha. Save for Don Yi... for now, I may tackle it if it turns out to be really intresting. What's Kim Soo Ro?

KSR = period drama with Ji Sung in leading role. I love both these things but there is little known about it other than that so that's why it's not higher.

I wish I found Kim Nam Gil attractive. :(

Also the plot never really appealed to me. It's weird, I don't mind watching silly romantic comedies even with their ridiculous plots but when it comes to something angsty/serious, I need a lot from it.

It's good that you'll be watching it though, so I can expect some posts from you!

even you don't like him...even it's true that he's not a classical beauty and have only some angles that he really really looks hot, even I really don't like his hairstyle for the Eve of storm press con(Lee Seung Hyo=Alcheon style, LSH is a sweety with that hairstyle)...that should make him look cute...but in my opinion its a disaster, even he had some squeamish scenes in some movies( the gun scene in No regrets and some scenes in Handphone ), even sometimes his acting its not always for an Oscar...

even all that...I couldn't help it and I've just watched(better i've droll over) almost all his movies/dramas...and still I want some more.

I'm afraid that "Bad guy"'s trailer it's just too tempting(way too tempting) and the drama will be just another star-studded drama with no plot ( I don't believe that it will be a phenomenon drama)

About Bad Guy ... hopefully I won't fall from cloud number 9 (for Kim Nam Gil and Kim Jae-wook sake this should be a hell of a drama)... Am I just over-reacting and being too impatient?

May I compliment your taste in men? Jang Hyuk and Kim Nam Gil are both wonderful! You can claim them both - Mr Mousie would probably object to a strange Korean actor in the house :P

Bad Guy really looks good. The cast is excellent and the story sounds interesting. Plus, the trailer is amazing - I have never seen a drama that was awful that had an amazing trailer. I have seen some that were better than its horrid trailers but not much the other way around.

My one concern is Han Ga In - I like her - she is incredibly charming - but she is a so-so actress so she may be ovewhelmed if having to act around KNG - but I am sure a good writer can write to her strengths (sort of like IRIS - Kim Tae Hee, much as I adore her, is not anywhere near Lee Byung Hun's level but the writing got around it).

Thank you for the compliments....Mr. Moraitika is already having a hard time with the strange Korean actors being all over my computer(my HDD is full with Kdrama/pictures etc)

About the bad lines spoiling a character we all know how Yushin came out. Another drama gone down the drain because of script lines is "When Spring Comes": sounded interesting first time I read the plot:2 love triangles, 2 prosecutors...if you don't know korean and watch them you would think that they are 2 damn good prosecutors...but disappointment hits when you see the translation...bla bla bla teenage lines, 2 cops, some swindlers and a big real estate fraud. The cast Park Gun Hyung,Park Si Yeon,Lee Ha Na,Lee Han(KNG) wasn't bad either, but I blame the writers because of the badly written lines...

For now I'm just impatient for the "Bad Guy"...

That is a very good trailer. Really well done. And yet. I'm intrigued but, there's a but in there. I don't know. I'll have to see more before I can determine if it's worth the melodramatic sit through.

Interesting that this is a drama that LMH was offered. It would have been interesting to see if he could pull off this role.

The drama it made me think of was actually La Dolce Vita maybe with a bit of Ijuksa - a sort of much much grainier/grayer thing than the usual melodrama.

I am glad LMH didn't take it. Leaving aside anything else, he'd be simply too young.

I'm with you on the Bad Guy ship. My list of Spring dramas is much shorter than yours and still Bad Guy was always high up, now the trailer really catapulted it up to the top. Looks intense and not in the melodramatic, dark clouds, all tears way that kdramas prefer.

Have you seen Cinderella Unni's teaser. I didn't expect it to be a light drama but I am not liking the direction it seems to be taking. Still plan to watch, just hoping for less shouting and glum faces.

I'm actually not familiar with Kim Nam-gil. But I have to give it to him: he looks really great in this.

I usually fall in love with support- or other-guy characters. And with Kim Jae-wook in this one, it wouldn't be too hard for me. :)

I know Han Ga-in, but not her work. I'm so far liking how she's shot here. I hope it's not only the shots, since there's an intense feel to this.

hazelnut if you really fall for the support guy you should see Queen Seon Deok ...there Kim Nam gil has the support role and he stole the show...I've just felt sorry for poor dull Yushin(main char)...and another support role is Alcheon -he's more appealing to me than Yushin...erm you sould see it only if you are pacient enough because it's a 62 episodes sageuk(you need about 100G free space on hard-drive)

For me this is the best trailer for this year ..just can't wait......
