A Demon Hunter in love with a Goddess - that's going to end well!

I watched the Korean movie The Restless yesterday in my eternal quest to find a Jung Woo Sung movie where he doesn't suffer horribly (nope, still looking!)




The Restless is a sort of martial arts fantasy - it made me think a little of the strangeness of some of Simon Green books.



It's gorgeous, violent, and trippy as hell. But what do you expect when the entire story takes place in Midheaven - a place for souls between worlds.




Our Demon Hunter (Jung Woo Sung) enters Midheaven to look for his dead lover (she died because of him) but that does not go as expected, no surprise.





To complicate the story there is a Goddess guarding a portal between worlds who looks freakishly like his lost love (Kim Tae Hee), and then there are the undead spirits looking to rebel and invade the living world - his former Demon Hunter comrades among them.




Basically, it's everything I like in a movie - violent gorgeous people angsting in costumes. Decide whether it's for you accordingly :)

Yes! I got this from Netflix and adored it, despite finding the story somewhat incoherent at times. It's not like I was watching for the plot anyway. So pretty! So angstastic!

Oh, I have this movie! It came out in Hungary as some DVD insert, for 2$!! I didn't know the guy, only Kim Tae Hee from Gumiho, but it was oh-so worth it! ^___^
