Pick the Stars - ep 16

The below was my favorite scene in all of ep 16. Honestly, woman - you are blackmailing the man into marriage by holding his brother's happiness hostage and then you badmouth the woman he actually loves in front of him? I think you are lucky all your limbs are still attached!

Kang Ha: "Do you know why I really don't want to marry you? It makes me sick to my stomach that I am going to have to spend the rest of my life with a woman who talks like you."

- Jae Young tries to slap him and he grabs her -

Kang Ha: "You may think you are really smart, but you really aren't. The very fact that you would raise your hand to the person who has to live with you but finds you utterly disgusting - it is something you should know not to do. What you really should be thinking about is how you are going to make me think less horribly of you. That is what you need to figure out. *pause* If you leave quietly now the situation won't escalate. *another pause* So. Do you want to stay then?"

Other points:

* Jun Ha, with this ep I finally like you. You go, tell Jae Young off, try to get some sense into your older bro (finally you are noticing that he does not want to marry the witch and actually you act in his interests for once).

* Parang and Kang Ha's scenes were the BEST. I love the two of them together so much. And Kang Ha's face when Parang tells him Pal Kang loves him. Heeeeee. And AWWWWW.

* I really liked the scene where Kang Ha and Jun Ha bonded. Kang Ha is really an awesome brother.

* So, Pal Kang finds out Grandpa is actually super-rich, has beeing lying through his teeth to her (and living on her charity - charity of a woman with nothing). I hope she stabs the old twit in the face.

* kang Ha angst at seeing Jun Ha holding Pal Kang's shoulders? Slllllluuuuuuurp.

It looks like there's lots of delicious angst from Kang Ha and Pal Kang in the next episode, what with him angsting over her leaving and her angsting over leaving, so I don't mind their lack of interaction in this episode

I am looking forward to that as well. I am also hoping that KH will put 2-and-2 together about evil mother and maybe do some blackmail of his own.

needlessly sponging off someone who is not only destitute but also has five small children to feed? Reprehensible.


I think we are supposed to find him sweet but I hate him. I heartlessly chortled when it looked from the preview he was going to have another heart attack.

Also, they have so much ground yet to cover I am worried how they are going to cram enough romance in. I don't normally advocate this but I wish they'd extend this by a couple of eps.

Thing I liked the most about this ep - everyone setting Jae Young stright about her delusions - KH and JH - I especially love it that JH pointed out that she tricked his bro into marriage so why on earth does she expect him to be happy and if she hates it so much, break it off.

Best scenes between Parang and Kang Ha, again! Kang Ha is so helpless with this kid, it's sweet!

Also the Witch is going to lose everything, including Jung Ha (finally!) Go, die! What else could she expect? And what a way to make someone loves you (specially when you blackmail him to marry you...?) Needs to take Socialization 101...

But, I'm sorry, I can't stand Pal Kang: what was she thinking to go on a MOUNTAIN in WINTER with a BABY!!!!??? (well, OK it's Kdrama, but still!!!) At least she still there to blast grandpa (who, I think, sticks to her for the same reasons than Kang Ha and others: he might have money but he needs LOVE!)

*sigh* Sad that we have to endure secondary hag for more of her evil schemes.

I loved Kang Ha in that scene. The whole rant, it's so perfect. I wish all dramas had characters blatantly telling each other their faults. THIS WAS SO PERFECT I SQUEALED. Everyone pissing on Jae Young! Perfect!

But I actually felt really bad for Jae Young when Kang Ha suddenly left while she was trying on wedding dresses. If I were in her situation, it'd be a HUGE BLOW to my ego (even if she does deserve it). No excuse for slapping Pal Kang, but at least her reasons are logical.

Pa Rang made my heart swell up. He kind of reminds me of my brother, but only in the way they look, so I've been calling my brother Pa Rang :D

I didn't feel bad for her at all - seeing what she's doing she should count her blessings the guy is going forward with it. The rest is extra. But then she never was that bright :P

OMG, I wanted to slap that Jae Young's face so bad! The only thing that would stop me was that if I touched her melty-face, the skin would come off and my hands would be stained with her acid-skin. And also I don't want her clumpy mascara on my hands. Ugh, DELUSIONAL BITCH. I hope you lose everything you have!
