OK, this is IT.

I have just been targeted by 4 different spammers (created lj identities to post spammy comments) in 12 hours, exorting me to try their weight-loss remedies.

One of them posted 12 times. (On the most random, old entries).

I deleted all and reported as spam but they keep getting new identities. I am this close to locking this whole thing down if this does not stop asap. IRRITATING.

I do not need weight loss pills, I do not need sex toys, or counterfeight Rolexes, or skin cream or suspiciously generous loans.

GTFO and die, please.

Change your default comment status so only friends can comment or moderate comments. On my blog, only friends can make instant comments. Everyone else is moderated and has to be unscreened, so they're easy to ignore and they don't bother anyone else.

you know, now that i think about it, the same kind of thing happened to me. i'd get random lj accounts commenting on entries, even really old ones. but they would always post in some different language. i think it might have been russian, but i'm not sure. after a while it did stop, but it was for almost a straight month. super annoying.
