Chuno ep 10 caps

On watching ep 10 of Chuno, five things are clear:

1. Tae Ha is officially the biggest badass to ever exist. Seriously.

2. My heart broke for Dae Gil. I cried like a baby. Jang Hyuk was amazing. But the last shot of him - scared me so much.

3. Tae Ha leaving his sword for Un Nyun and Un Nyun stroking it (mind out of the gutter, ladies! :P) is the most romantic thing I have seen in months.

4. Un Nyun is so ethereally beautiful, she almost looks not real. And she is the BEST travelling companion.

5. This is the best drama I have ever seen.

Just watched the first two episode. Does Hot (Possibly) Evil (Possibly) Spy lady show up a lot? Because the only way she could have been better is if she was played by Yun Mi Joo. I blame the dress.

And men handing their manhood weapons to women is never not phallic. Even when it's D'Argo and Aeryn.

Re: 3. LOL. Omo, the look on his face when he saw her there sitting and stroking it eeeeee. And who could blame him - not only is she gorgeous and an amazing partner (she binds him up, tells him to go ahead when she is slowing him down, doesn't fuss over blood but know what to do after the battle, gives him a ribbon to cover his brand etc - she is so cool under fire), but the man has been a slave for a while and thus probably not with any opportunity for dating :)

Re: 4. I am a LDH fan too (she's probably my favorite kdrama actress) and she's always been very pretty but I've never seen her look so goddess-like before. You can believe a man would be haunted by her for a decade or be distracted from his mission or even die for her.

6. I am a Mom of a toddler and that kid worries me - he shouldn't be so calm with his nanny dying in front of him, and the chase and the fight. I think he may be in shock :)

I am so worried as to what DG might do next - he has nothing to live for, now.

Seriously how does Lee Jong Hot do it? He portrays evil characters with so much smexyness! In Green Rose, oh how I hated his guts but still I keep anticipating his scenes! (shirtless more preferred of course!)

Re: kiss. Yeah I heard. They are insane. I thought it was a perfect capper - all the emotions finally out, still covered by adrenaline rush from the chase and juxtposed with DG's loss. It was perfect.

Ok, have not been keeping up with Chuno at all. It's one of these dramas where i refuse to watch it over the internet, and probably refuse to read about it. I just want to buy the dvds when they come out and watch it in a dark room, on my own, curled up with a cup of tea, biscuits, and crisps all within easy reach. The Fiance, should preferably, be done the pub, or in his man-shed, doing whatever it is that men do in sheds.

Tae Ha is officially the biggest badass to ever exist. Seriously.

He is quite skilled. isn't he? Did you like the moments of his fighting with CW when they were cutting water with their swords? So awesome! I won't be surprised the ratings will go up again. But also CW!! He killed all the guards by himself , wounded!! I love him! I hardly have any place in my heart for any more hot guys.

The whole scene was quite original. :D I am so used to scenes repeated in dramas time after time that this scene really stood out. I like that UN's two loves are so different - her love for DG was of first love type (pure bliss) and her love for TH is the grown-up (sexual attraction among other things). The kissing scene was amazing too - there are certain elements that are commonly used for kissing scenes in dramas (falling petals, etc) , but that breathtaking JeJu view was so completely new. (Ok- this is me being rational , but irrational me just squees at all of this!).

I feel awful about the maid too - I was shipping her with non-traitor ,and I was hoping Danny Ahn will have another chance to fight with Tae Ha!!!!

But mainly, I feel so so sorry for DG. I could not sleep! I ship TH and UN so hard BUT! DG needs her much more than TH! He has nothing to live for now! I wonder if this is where the drama is going - up to now he lived for his revenge and for UN. Now it is the time for him to find other things to live for.

I get drawn to evil characters from time to time, especially when they are good at what they do (and good-looking). My favourite scenario here is when an evil character hates himself.

On shallow note, I think this will bring us many good fighting scenes - they should be particular interesting because DG is the first person who is equal/better at combat than TH. On non-shallow note - I am sure DG can get himself out of this situation if he puts his mind to it. But I'm afraid he'd just go charging after TH..

I usually avoid spoiler for episodes I haven't seen but couldn't resist this time and kind of glad I did - I NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR DAE GIL'S PAIN! I know I will cry like a baby watching this. He is still my favorite, with flaws and everything. I think he is one of the most interesting drama characters I've seen. I love every single scene Jang Hyuk is in!

Hello~~ I've been looking for Chuno-related posts and found your journal, you're totally cracking me up! (^_^)
I never EVER watch period drama, only started it because of Hyogi, but Chuno is seriously the best thing I've ever seen. I also never cared about Oh Ji Ho because I don't like the kind of dramas/characters he's been getting, but he totally blows me away in Chuno. I even "jumped ship" and now I'm rooting for TH/HW, haha. (Even though Hyogi's acting is simply amazing, but somehow that doesn't surprise me, that guy is a freaking genius.)

PS: Sorry if you've seen this question a zillion times, but is OJH 100% Korean? There are moments when he looks like a Whitey Whiteman. XDD

I have never heard of him being a halfsie (usually it's a pretty prominent piece of info). He does have somewhat Western features though (if nowhere near as much as Daniel Henney or Dennis Oh et al).

I was so blown away by OJH in this - didn't know he could act before.

Am I the only one who didn't expect the half-brother twist? I gaped at the screen forever after that.

I STILL think Baek-ho death was such a waste. He was a perfectly good character. And yes, same with UN/DG brother. TPTB could have worked much angst about the bro-sis-bro thing. Anyway, I lovelovelove TH/UN DG/SH...I ship them like there's no tomorrow. Am I setting myself up for heartbreak?
