Still Chuno, of course

dangermousie1. For some reason, I have a craving to watch Rondo.
2. I realized I never posted caps from ep 8 of Chuno.
Flashback!DG and Flashback!UN. They are so happy and idealistic and sweet and my heart sort of breaks for them because I know what is coming.
Though I can't deny that current-day!DG is hotter.
That scene really gave me a lump in my throat. During a short break in their run, when they finally get to have a chance at a decent room and not hiding in caves or eating snakes or whatever, as UN sleeps, Tae Ha unwraps that headband he always wears and you see why he wears it - his slave brand is on his forehead. The way he looks at it, with loathing, and how he rubs at it, almost unconsciously, as if he is trying to get it out. And his eyes. :( He's never accepted his slavery, of course, but he is so contained we rarely get to see him unguarded and how messed-up he truly is and how it gnaws at him.
Un Nyun awake. She is so gorgeous it's unreal.
I really like this former officer of Tae Ha's. I hope he escapes and joins the rebellion!
I loved this flashback so much. When he tells her he hates to see her cold or sick and they almost kiss but she draws back and tells him when she was a child she just thought of him as a friend but now she is adult and she knows social distinctions. And then she tells him if he wants to trifle with her, she has no right to resist, but she'd prefer he did not. UN is so quietly strong - imagine saying that in her situation. And his face - because of course it's not a rich boy fooling around or anything, he truly loves her more than anything and just - oh, they were so doomed even before her brother killed his whole family. (Side note - it makes sense now why she was the one who kissed him in flashback in ep 2 (flashbacks are not linear) - because she had to take the initiative otherwise after this conversation, he never would).
Dae Gil rescuing Sul Hwa. And she glomps him. I love that. I love them so - not in a shippy sense but in a 'big brother, troublesome little sister' sense. Only thing is, Mr Mousie loathes SH which makes it hard to watch her scenes with him because I do like her :)
Chul Woong continues on his path of doing despicable things (even as you can tell he hates himself for them).
This scene was OMGOMGOMGWHOA territory. He told her he could not save his wife and baby and after that he decided to never meet another woman but if he did meet her, he'd protect her forever. And he basically tells her he will protect her. OMGOMG is that a confession or what?
His headband is cut during fighting and she sees his brand. If she gets pissed off at him or disdainful, I am going to climb into the screen and strangle her. NOT ALLOWED. Especially since you owe him your life. And it would also make you a hyppocrite.

He actually told her all his story (also I like that he is so non-idiotic here - I was dreading "I killed them!" reaction . No , you did not kill them!! Other people did!). Whatever happens he is going to protect her. I think he will die and DG/Hw will live - I put my bets on this ending.
Also - the former officer!! Another hottie. This drama is so nice to us! I am sure he will escape at some point!

I've only watched Ep 8 Raw because the subs are not out at WithS2 yet and stupid Viikii doesn't allow me to watch the Chuno chanel so I didn't know what the conversation between UN and TH was about. My god! That man is to die for.
From the preview, we know that UN goes with TH on the boat after she saw his mark on his forehead. I sincerely hope that she did so of her own volition and arboring no disgust and not because the scary woman in love with her dagger is hot on her trail.
