dangermousieNew Year's presents have come early for yours truly - Daemul is back on! There are actually not enough exclamation marks in the world. For those who haven't been on my flist that long, Daemul was an upcoming drama a couple of years back I was preliminarily obsessed about - based on a popular manhwa, it was about a high-price gigolo hired to seduce and ruin the first female President of Korea. Are you freaking kidding me? I was all over that so fast it was not funny. It was slated to star the awesome Go Hyun Jung (lately seen as the villanous, drama-stealing Mishil in Queen Seon Deok) and the totally sexy Kwon Sang Woo. Then production wackiness happened and the project was scrapped. Only. Now it is back on. And still with Go Hyun Jung in the lead. OMG, my heart cannot take it.
And speaking of QSD, Le Yo Won and Kim Nam Gil (i.e. Seon Deok and Bidam) won best couple award at MBC awards. Yay.

And do not even give me ideas about Gong Yoo because I would die a very happy death if he took this up. I love Joo Jin Mo but I don't know if he'd work for this part. Son Seung Heon...hmmm, he does look like he could play a gigolo, doesn't he? Hee.
Hyun Bin seems a little too sweet to play the part but I think he could work it. So Ji Sub?

Hyun Bin - he was totally believable as this brutal thug in Friends so I now believe he can pull anything off, but are we getting into a 'too young' territory? The guy's what - 27? I know the gigolo is supposed to be younger than the President, but I am not sure if they will want to go for that much younger.
SJS could work but he has his own huge drama coming up mid-year (Road No 1) so I don't think he'd be available.
I adore Gong Yoo but hmmm - he's not classically good-looking enough? He doesn't look professionally chiselled, if you know what I mean. Plus he always comes across as very sweet. Though, after looking at this:

I think someone like Jang Hyuk could be perfect (his niche IS bastards with a heart after all, not to mention he already played a gigolo once, quite well) but he is only a couple years younger than GHJ so not sure if that's an issue. Plus, he has his own drama so...
You know who might be fun for a total change of pace (for him) - Song Il Gook. He plays off strong women very well. But he has his own upcoming drama and I think he's the same age as GHJ.

If he wasn't in the army I'd say Eric. He's doesn't have the classically handsome looks, but after Que Sera Sera he totally won me over.
