Finished Resurrection.

Excellent excellent excellent. It got rather dark by the end but I loved the hopeful ending (I nearly had a heart attack because for a while it looked like it was heading into Mawang-ending level trauma. Never again).

I loathed all the bad guys through to the end (felt bad for their dependents though).

Poor poor messed-up Haeun. Get better, woobie! The stuff with Haeun/Eunha (once she found out) was so ridiculously awesome and angsty and hot and comforty and perfect. When he is basically crying at her that he's not Haeun and she is so gentle and tells him if he says he isn't, he isn't and that's what breaks him? OMGSQUEE. And then all the adorableness after.

For a change of pace, next is finishing up Lawyers of Korea. I had some major problems with the male lead of that one but it looks funny so we'll see.

Hopeful ending! That sounds promising - I've been considering Resurrection but I was afraid there'd be pain and death and tragedy at the end. Spoil me - how hopeful are we talking?

I lost interest in LOK around episode 12. I'll have to pick it up again at some point, I hate leaving things incomplete but something shinier came along and I just forgot about it. The main girl from that appears to be in Loving You 1000 Times, which is not something I want to watch, but I think LOK was a smaller production, it's good that she's moved on to a nice big role.

Very hopeful. Bad guys are punished, Haeun is alive and once he completes his self-imposed penance for bad things he did in course of his revenge-seeking, he's coming back to Eunha who's waiting for him :)

LoK looks cute.

I've heard good things about Resurrection but I don't think I"ll ever watch it - if you consider it dark, it must be so. Same goes for Mawang, though the cast tempts me slightly more...

yay Lawyers!

I don't think either one is your thing anyway - romance in them is amazing but purely secondary.

OT, but Dramabeans currently has guest writers reviewing dramas from 2009. I love your taste (and excitement) while watching dramas! :) I wish you had a 2009 review on her site as well.

Wow! Done already! You sure are fast. :)

Yes, Resurrection is exellent, though it could have done with bit of editing and overall pruning. They really got things right 2nd time around with Mawang.

Poor messed-up Ha Eun indeed. I'm on the fence which is UTW's best drama work to date, this or Mawang (he was pretty good in StP too).

LoK is fun! Though, I'm not sure it has enough angst for you. ;P

I like UTW better in Mawang but maybe it's because I liked his Mawang character better (I adored him).

I picked LoK as a light change of pace.
