Ghajini (India 2008). So, what are my impressions of the biggest Bolly hit of the year?

Just started it and am about to get to the flashback. So far it's decidedly "meh" - not one of those movies that grab me from the get-go - the similarity to Memento just makes me remember how amazing that movie was, Jiah Khan's character is incredibly irritating so far ("hi, let me walk up to a total stranger and start pestering him about how he got whacked on the head. I love to win friends and influence people") and Aamir's lack of hair combined with big ears makes him look like Gollum on steroids. But hopefully it will get better with the flashback, which is something Memento didn't have and thus I could view this movie on its own terms.

ETA: Yes, am a bit into the flashback, and MUCH better.

I didn't like the hindi version either. The tamil version is much much better imo.

I really didn't like Ghajini. The love story in the flashback would have been cute, but the girl was *super* annoying, and Aamir Khan's weird muscle T-shirts put me off too much.
