Can you spell "obsession?" I sure can.
Dec. 15th, 2009 11:09 amI had yet another dream about IRIS ending. That's two nights in a row. Can you say obsessed?
I actually remembered this one pretty well - in it, there was incontrovertible evidence Seung Hee was an evil IRIS mastermind (said evidence was in form of teddybears - my subconscious is whack) so Hyun Joon had one awesome romantic evening with her and then shot her as per orders (clearly my subconscious is not keen on the likely - HJ isn't so good on orders and in any event would only kill her if she was a second away from blowing up the Universe). And then, in my dream, as he was sitting there with her body in his arms, all of a sudden someone came in who brought proof that all the evidence against Seung Hee was false after all, so Hyun Joon basically killed the woman he loved for nothing. Ummmm. Clearly I am confusing IRIS with (my favorite Indian movie ever) Omkara which had the most devastating final scene ever which basically went along the same lines. Well, at least whatever happens this week won't be as bad. Maybe I should write kdramas.
Now I am going to cheer self up with this:

Also, Lee Byung Hun, please don't let it be another 7 years between dramas! I couldn't stand it!
In other news, if you are not watching Will it snow for Christmas, why not?

Date: 2009-12-15 10:56 pm (UTC)I am lazy, so I am copying from dramabeans' recap (shockingly she watched it and even more shockingly she liked it(:
With brash fearlessness, she [Ji Wan] paints epithets on the boss’s car (”Son of a bitch!” etc).
When the boss sees the graffiti, he nearly has an aneurysm from the fury. Ji-wan pelts him with eggs and shit, cursing him for tormenting the lives of those weaker than him. Fuming, the boss beelines to the tearoom and accuses Madam Cha of putting that “little bitch” up to it. Everyone is genuinely bewildered, but Kang-jin hears him swearing about the girl and makes an educated guess.
Kang-jin runs into Ji-wan by the bridge — with a bruised face, probably hit by the boss — and asks, confused and upset, “Why did you do it?”
Ji-wan answers, “Because you couldn’t.” Everybody in town knows what a horrible man he is: “You know it too, but you can’t do anything.” Her immediate concern is for him, and worriedly tells him to pretend not to know her, so he won’t suffer for her actions. When the boss finds them, she urges Kang-jin to run off and insists that she acted entirely alone.
Kang-jin takes her advice and walks away coldly, leaving Ji-wan to deal with the man.
Only, the man strikes her in the face. Unfazed, Ji-wan screams at him, “Hit me again! Hit me again!” The man punches her again, sending her tumbling to the ground...
Cue ep 2

It sounds like something I shouldn't miss.
Re: Help!
Date: 2009-12-15 11:21 pm (UTC)There is this one thing grown-up Ji Wan does in the beginning of ep 3 which made me love her forever.
Re: Help!
Date: 2009-12-15 11:39 pm (UTC)what's it about? I'd google it but the d addicts wiki always gives me such super vague descriptions to go by.
Re: Help!
Date: 2009-12-15 11:51 pm (UTC)Ok, this stuff happens in ep 2 so I am spoiler hiding it for wolfie's sake: Gangster is beating her up so hero returns and chokes the life out of the guy almost. Blah blah blah they now like each other, then something really bad happens which isn't his fault, but she lashes out at him as one most available, telling him some awful stuff, and runs away from home. Fast-forward 8 yrs, he's now a successful architect and he runs into her at her engagement party. To which the groom decides not to show up. And then, in a scene which was Makino-like and made me love her forever, after dismissing all the guests, she grimly sits down to eat all the meals - because the food is good and it will go to waste!
He still likes her, she is all conflicted etc

Date: 2009-12-16 02:56 am (UTC)Watch ep 3 - it is sooooo good.
I felt so awful for the both of them - in their last childhood meeting. Talk about an ouch. He finally opens up to someone and trusts someone only to have THAT thrown in his face. But I can't blame her at all - it's like she is punishing everyone, herself included, for her brother's death.
Re: Help!
Date: 2009-12-16 03:26 am (UTC)I think my favorite scene so far (besides the eggs) is when he finally starts to fall for her and corrects her essay while she's sleeping. That little smile!
Re: Help!
Date: 2009-12-16 03:42 am (UTC)Of course she is lashing out. I'd do the same tbh.
People at soompi are all over the possibility of them being (or believing they are) half-sibs.
