Please let this happen!
Sep. 2nd, 2009 02:07 am(thanks to
mishane and soompi for the heads up)
Apparently this is a potential upcoming drama:
Tentative title of drama: Will it Snow During Christmas (SBS)
First female lead: Han Ye Seul (confirmed)
Male leads: Lee Min Ho and Park Hae Jin
Director: Choi Moon Suk (What Happened in Bali/Memories of Bali)
Scriptwriter: Lee Kyeong Hee (A Love to Kill, Sorry I Love You and Sangdoo, Let's go to School)
Number of episodes: 24
Broadcast: Middle of October
credits: Minah@baidu, Park Hae Jin@baidu and DC Gall
Please!
Shall I count my levels of excitement? I loved Bali! I love this screenwriter! I adore Han Ye Seul! I loved LMH despite the BOF trainwreck and the thought of seeing him in a good role in a good drama? Heaven! Plus, the guy needs to act again and not just shill for stuff and him doing this one means he will definitely not be in the repulsive and dreaded It Started With a Kiss remake (if he is in it, I am DONE with him). I adored Park Hae Jin in East of Eden - I mean, I loathed his character as I should have but the boy is a hell of a magnetic actor. And apparently Shin Min Ah might be in, too.
Please please PLEASE.

Date: 2009-09-02 06:33 am (UTC)This needs to happen. Looking at the writer and director's previous work, I hope that it will be dark as hell because I would love to see him pull a Lee Dong Wook where he comes back into the acting world with something awesome and heavy and we see a totally different side. *loves all of the cast*
I'm unfamiliar with the director and scriptwriter, but I did hear many good things about What Happened in Bali and I’m Sorry, I Love You. No news about the plot, though? :(
ETA: Apparently, 'guh' indicates more than just amazed speechlessness. :P I need to be more well-versed, clearly.

Date: 2009-09-02 07:26 am (UTC)I spent most of EoE trying not to be sucked in and wish for a happy ending for MH. PHJ is that good and very, very pretty.
I was starting to fear Cloud9 had some sort of handcuff deal with LMH and horror of horrors he would be doing K-ISWAK. I'm trilled at this news, now I just hope the plot is to my taste.

Date: 2009-09-02 03:56 pm (UTC)K-ISWAK sounds like a nightmare of gigantic proportions. I hope they rope actors I loathe so I won't even be tempted to peek.

Date: 2009-09-02 04:02 pm (UTC)I've thought about this often, and even more than wanting him to play a different character than GJP, I don't want him any where near skinny jeans. I love him but I hate his affection for super-tight pants, so if the production stylist could just ixnay all skiiny pants choices I'm already half satisfied.

Date: 2009-09-02 08:06 pm (UTC)But I understand ymmv. In any event, this probably won't be your thing whoever is cast - all the dramas of these PD/writer are beyond angstfests. Thank You is the only one which ended well - Bali, Love to Kill, Sorry I love you, and Sang Do all ended up unbelievably tragically.

Date: 2009-09-02 10:03 pm (UTC)I love me some Lee Min Ho but he will be busy until October, I believe.
Park Hae Jin has a weekend variety show (granted, to boost his popularity, see what happened to Lee Chun Hee) and his plans for drama won't be until next year. And I do not think he should play a second lead!
Also Lee Kyeong Hee has another script in mind entitled "Four Seasons" which is about mercenary and a Korean adoptee falling in love. They said that may star Rain.
I do like Han Ye Seul a lot, but I am just curious if she can take on a Lee Kyeong Hee drama. I have never seen her do anything remotely close to heavy drama.

Date: 2009-09-02 10:06 pm (UTC)Re: Four Seasons. I thought that was dead - it was planned a long time ago with Rain and Gianna Jun but then (I thought) got put into cold storage for good as there was no time they could work together. Rain is now saying he is looking for a drama but it doesn't seem to be in ref to FS. But we'll see. If they made FS instead of the one in the post, I will not complain at all.
