It's probably just as well that I am almost done with my insane marathonning of Worlds Within - I ended up dreaming of Hyun Bin last night. As Ji Oh. It was Worlds Within only set in Nazi-occupied France like a classic movie. Do not ask. But HB and Song Hye Kyo looked good in black-and-white.
Also, I watch it in the Baby's room once she's asleep and I am beginning to worry she is subliminally absorbing Korean and her first word will not be in English or Russian but Korean. Which, seeing that I don't speak any Korean, could be problematic. Unless she says 'saranghae', I will be stumped.
I will always love the writer for having Ji Oh break up with Joon Young BEFORE he found out about his eyesight. Because it would have been such an easy out, to make it all about his panic and etc on learning he might be going blind. But that's the thing - while the eye thing really kicked it into over-drive and transformed a fight into a lasting break-up, his vision wasn't the only issue - that relationship had issues even before.
Also, I do think the break-up was neccessary - not only did it enable Ji Oh to realize how much Joon Young loved him (because he had huge insecurities about that), it enabled him to realize how much HE loved HER. And the same is true for her, as well - I don't think either of them fully realized how much they loved the other person until the break-up.
Also, poor Kyu-Ho. You probably can't tell, but he is crying in this shot. He never gets this vulnerable :( Awww, just go back on your word to your repulsive father and hook back up with Hae-Jin!
