There straight people even among Asian pop idols - I am a bit shocked

A lot of the Asian idols come from the "flower boys" school of appeal - elaborate hair, extreme clothes, delicate facial features (could cross dress as a girl, probably, with success), and a bunch of slashy fanservice. So I always get faintly surprised when I find out some of them are straight. (I realize that majority of people, even in the entertainment industry, are straight, but my usual cues for judging said straightness get all mixed-up in context).

And now finally I see I am not the only one with that default setting. I came across this comment on allkpop while browsing the story that reported Kim Hyun Joong and Heo Young Saeng hooking up with a couple of Hong Kong girls in the wee hours of the morning:

those girls were like hookers (or i must say “slut”?) on the street! LOL..thank God now im convinced that Kim Hyun Joong is not gay! xDDDD boys just wanna have fun! so u papparazi leave hyun joong alone! btw, he looks hot with that outfit but he’s always hot whatever he wears! :p

LOLOLOL. Hopefully I have better grammar than the poster but I do admit to the fact that KHJ is one of those idols where I get surprised that they like girls - mainly because of his role in Boys Over Flowers - he came across as lacking any testosterone at all. I didn't really have strong opinions about his sexual orientation, but it would not have surprised me to find out he wasn't into ladies. Hmmmm, live and learn.

The other comments also cracked me up, ranging from denial and rage to good for them, my favorite being the pithy: get laid homies! and wistful If those two wanted to get laid, they should’ve stayed in Japan. A lot of options in Japan too.

In other news, Chuno is going to be 24 eps and seems set for October, according to KBS, which makes me wonder what is happening to IRIS? Is it getting delayed? Chuno is about the only drama that could make me OK with this development, but still...odd. Oh, and at least from the write-up, it appears that Da Hae's OTP is Jang Hyuk. YESSSS.

Chuno is going to be 24 eps and seems set for October, according to KBS

Huh? As far as I can tell from the Korean news sites (just did a quick search), the schedule is still My Fair Lady -> IRIS -> Chuno, with IRIS set to begin its 20 ep-run mid-Oct (14 Oct) on Wed-Thurs. It's way ahead in production (vs Chuno), it'd surprise me they switched.

That's what I thought too. Maybe the article was a mistake or a wrong translation? It made no sense to me either. Not that they wouldn't be able to start showing Chuno in October if they started filming last week (which they did) but it does seem bizarre.

Or they pulled an old article? Either way, it's such a huge project, any change in the schedule would make the headlines, but outside Kim So-Yeon's injury (and GI Joe), not much news re: IRIS.

Reading this, it would take both of them getting married and having a few children before I believed that Sakurai Sho and Ninomiya aren't gay. I think they're in a relationship with each other or something. Have you seen Yamada Taro? It might as well be called "Sakurai Sho stares at Ninomiya for however many episodes and sighs happily" instead.
