Worlds Within is the most amazing thing I have seen in a year (nonspoilery)

Oh my God.

This has seriously fried my brain.

On a less hormonal note: I am so in love with this drama. You guys. You guys, it's really late here and I should have been in bed hours ago but I keep watching WW without being able to stop. It's in the running to becoming my favorite drama EVER. Ever. Beating Legend's almost 2-year-long supremacy. Whoa. And to think I only started it out on a completely random whim.

If I was doing my Top 5 otps now, these two would so be on the list - their interactions are so real and 'present' - the way they bounce off each other, and talk about everything, and fight, and do these little things. Just GUUUUH. I could see myself in this world.

And the whole thing is so pitch-perfect I found myself crying in one totally random scene - it was not sad or anything but the scene was so perfect I started crying from that.

It's funny, because while I love Hyun Bin to bits, I probably wouldn't think of him if someone asked me my most favorite Korean actor - I'd answer Kang Ji Hwan or Lee Jun Ki or Gong Yoo. But I should definitely revise this response - I have seen him in four dramas, and two of those (WW and Friend) are among what I would consider art - something I can count on fingers of one hand with dramas, and Snow Queen was also amazing and gorgeous and in my all-time favorites. 3 out of 4 in my Top 10? That's quite a feat. (Ironically, the drama that made him a household name, Kim Sam Soon, is one I dislike immensely, even though its ratings were bigger than the ratings of WW, Snow Queen and Friend combined). I think at this point I will watch whatever he is in.

As to Song Hye Kyo, she was my entry to kdramas - Full House was my very first kdrama and the one that made me fall for them - it was also the first time I felt such a visceral love and protectiveness of the heroine. I've liked her in what I have seen since (All In) but WW is a whole new height.

Also, please don't spoil me for WW. Normally I don't mind (and even enjoy) spoilers but not here - I am too in love. I did find out some angst is coming and I can't bear it - I love them too much as characters and a couple.

ETA: Sometimes people ENRAGE me. Some commenter on viikii called Song Hye Kyo's character a slut because she had sex with the guy she was dating and it clearly wasn't the first or the fifth time she had sex and she had the nerve not to be embarassed the morning after but matter-of-fact and happy and actually *gasp* comment about last night. Clearly a super-slut to beat them all. And I bet the commenter was a woman, too. UGH.

I am not - it's really really lowkey and undramatic - all the dramas that do well seem to be either loud over-the-top comedies or very very dramatic dramas.

I worry about hyping it up too much because then I worry you'll be disappointed - I went into this with no expectations at all. It resonates with me a lot for some odd reason on a very personal level - a lot of stuff in it reminds me of me and Mr. Mousie and that probably won't be the case for others :P

Be warned btw - so far it's a very slice-of-life drama so it should be watched when you are in the mood for that sort of thing - if I were looking for doomed romantic epic this would so not work.

You know, I like slowly unfolding slice of life stories. So this might be something I'd enjoy. I did mean to check WW out but as per usual got hooked on something more shiny. *adds to the list*

Well, Korea still has a double standard when it comes to sex and all that. Korean females are supposed to be these sweet and innocent things, pure as driven snow... and virgins untill they marry. I guess even then they should shut their eyes and think about England Korea while at it. *wry* So very Victorian....

LOL - we like the same dramas 90% of time so we simply should have some where we disagree or people will think we are the same person :P

I know about the double standard (and it drives me up the wall) but that is why I like WW - it makes sense to me that a young professional woman in Seoul might not be a virgin - if I think 'slut' at all, someone who has sex with her boyfriends doesn't even begin to cover it :P

It is just incredible - it was a total random pick for me too - I never really planned to watch it because I know a number of people who hated it. And then I was searching for Friend videos and it gave me a WW one and I was interested and decided - why not check it out. And it was LOVE.
