대길-(장혁)양반가의 자제였으나 병자호란으로 가문이 망한 뒤 노비나 다름없는 신세로 전락, 저자거리에서 떠돌며 자라 추노질을 배워 도망 노비들을 잡는 추노꾼이 되는 캐릭터
Dae Gil (Jang Hyuk) - He was the son of nobility. During the Manchu invasion his family perished and he was reduced to the living condition no different than a slave. On the streets of the market he learned how to catch runaway slaves and he became a slave hunter.
송태하(오지호)-병자호란 후 청나라에 볼모로 끌려갔던 인조의 장자 소현세자의 호위무사로 8년 만에 조선에 돌아오지만, 소현세자가 의문의 죽음을 맞은 뒤 노비로 전락했다가 소현세자의 아들을 위험에서 구하기 위해 탈출하는 전직 훈련원 교관 캐릭터
Song Tae Ha (Oh Ji Ho) – He was the son of a small private escort company when he was captured as a hostage during the Manchu invasion and brought over to China. After 8 years he returned to Joseon (Korea) but he was sentenced to death. In order to escape he took over the identity of a training instructor.
언년(여주인공 미정)- 노비 출신으로 주인집 아들인 대길과 사랑하는 사이였으나 주인집에서 도망친 뒤 ‘혜원’으로 이름을 바꾸고 양반의 여식 행세를 하며 살게 된다
Eon Nyun (Lee Da Hae) – Originally a slave that shared a love relationship with Dae Gil, the son of the master house. She ran away from the master house and took on the name ‘Hye Won’ and came to live as the daughter of a noble.
?(공형진)-도망쳤다가 대길에게 붙잡혀 와 다시 노비로 살다가 서서히 노비들의 민란을 조직하는 인물
?(Gong Hyung Jin) – He was seized by Dae Gil when he ran away and he once again lived as a slave where he later on organized a revolt of the slaves.
?(이종혁)-훈련원 2인자 출신으로 누군가의 밀명을 받아 평민을 가장해 송태하를 죽이려 하는 무사
?(Lee Jong Hyuk) – An officer in charge of testing and training, he wants Song Tae Ha dead after ????
