Yes. I am insane. I have not seen the first 12 eps but am streaming 13 as need to find out the state of the ship - yes, the ship I ship before having seen the drama. Whatever. Am insane. What else is new.

WHAT!!!!!????????????? Everyone kept assuring me that they couldn't possibly be OTP because the screenwriter specifically said so!! which is partly why I haven't started it yet because I always want to know the otp before a drama so I don't end up shipping the wrong one.

HOW many episodes does this have? any possibility this is just a stumbling block thing before real OTP appears?

This is ep 13 and this drama is 16 eps. And of course Haru's been liking him for ages. So if they are not the OTP they are doing something very very wrong and it's the writer of Coffee Prince and Capitol Scandal so how could she screw up?

why I haven't started it yet because I always want to know the otp before a drama so I don't end up shipping the wrong one.

That is so bizarre. hmmm - shall stay away from Triple until it ends next week then because I would be so pissed shipping the 'wrong' ship. If they want them to fall out of love they better start pronto, they don't have many eps left :)

Isn't it weird? I honestly think they're really just messing with us, because I cannot see a way where Haru and Hwal aren't OTP. But the screenwriter, AND the actors specifically said it wasn't heading that way. I don't know what to think.

I keep hoping it will turn out like East of Eden where I kept shipping a couple but was sure they wouldn't be the final endgame because a way more famous actress was lead and then they ended up the otp anyway. Please?

Same here. I VERY MUCH want Haru and Hwal to be OTP, and I'm desperately hoping for the screenwriter to have changed her mind. Because really, they just scream OTP.

The writing would be pretty off otherwise, at least from what I've read.

Exactly. It would be totally against character for Haru to suddenly change her mind, or even for Hwal to decide to go back to Su In. Maybe if they had established that it was just a crush earlier, and Haru had gotten over it (because she is still very young). But they didn't. And now with only three episodes, I don't see how there could be an alternate ending, save for a time skip.

Agreed. I'm really hoping they don't do the time skip route, because I think that would just weaken the drama overall. I love the characters, and it feels like it would be cheapening them and their emotions to do a random time jump, and have their emotions change like everything prior to it had never happened.

But these people brought me Coffee Prince, thus I put my trust in them.

Btw - I so had to eat my words about Lee Jung Jae. I thought he was positively hideous in promo shots but seeing him in action I am in love.

He IS one of those people you have to see in action to get. I felt the same way about the promo shots, and then he was on screen, and suddenly he was amazing and attractive, and I LOVED him. He's so amazing at Hwal, and he's a really good actor too, so that's a plus ;D

It happens to me a lot. Like one of my friends showed pictures of Nagase to me, and I just didn't see the appeal until I saw him in action, and then I understood a bit too well.

See, with Nagase I was smitten instantaneously - he is one of two Japanese actors I find purely gorgeous (Takeshi Kaneshiro is the other one).

I think I might have been looking at bad pictures or something. Either way he's one of my absolute favorites now. Mostly because he's not stick-like, and both taller and older than me. (Takeshi Kaneshiro is gorgeous, but I haven't seen him in anything save one episode of Golden Bowl)

I still don't find MatsuJun all that attractive, but that boy's got charisma.

Ah, I KNOW! I "watched" episode 13 (which basically consists of me randomly skipping through to find any good parts) and I flailed quite a bit. Did you see the previews for episode 14, where they're skating together holding hands?! SO CUTE.

if it ends like that I am going to be very very vicariously happy for all my flisters who have been madly shipping them and dying because they're not the OTP, while simultaneously glad I didn't go through that torment:)

I did see someone hoping that maybe screenwriter was just trying to throw everyone off the scent, so maybe that's the case and she's been evilly plotting this whole time.

The screenwriter did say that. As it stands I have no idea how it's going to end (only 3 episodes left). Either they were just messing with us, or they'll do one of those endings where nothing gets resolved, and they'll "fall out of love", or something.

Holy Cow! I have been trying to stay away from watching this, cos yeah, i don't want to ship the wrong ship. So yeah, i need to know who ends up with whom before i start watching any of it, otherwise, i might just self-implode.

But Haru + Hwal! Yeh! Puhleeese go there, although i think i can guess what's gonna happen in the end already...

well, seeing that the writer and Lee Jung Jae have already said that Hwal and Haru won't end up together, I think that what will happen is that they both accept that it was not meant to be, but still remain close as step-siblings. but Hwal doesnt get back with his wife though.

the other possible scenario might be that Hwal and Haru enter into a relaxed relationship, where they know they care for each other, love each other even, but recognise the age gap, and just see where life takes them, no pressure, no expectations.

i reckon if anyone is expecting a happily ever after to the great romance will be sorely disappointed.

of course, this is pure speculation on my part, and the writers could always attempt a Lovers in Paris thing on us all!

So I got home and only wanted to watch one episode of Triple.

ONE

I ended up watching FOUR and cursed having to go to work the next morning, otherwise I would have been all caught up now.

And then I go to my f-list and see you posting about this, and yay! So happy! I was totally gonna ask if you were watching it because the OTP sounded exactly like an OTP that you'd like.

And Haru/Hwal are so cute and I TRIED to stay away from darkeyedwolf's entry because I didn't want to see spoilers (only on episode 8) but I did and now I really want to leave work just so I can watch the rest. AND I'M SO UPSET THAT IT'S ONLY 16 EPISODES SO THAT MEANS MANIC WATCHING OF TRIPLE THIS WEEKEND AND NEXT WEEK? NO MORE TRIPLE. :(
