Ahahahaahaaaaaaaa! They look like retro-conscious college sophomores, just getting adjusted to life outside of the house and without Mom. I hope they stay outside the modern USA in their travels because they'd get carded every time they'd try to order a drink.

So not getting it. Ugh.

Also, the new Doctor's face is...so weirdly proportioned and wrong. Majorly wrong. Let's hope he can act because lookwise, he isn't just plain (which is fine) but actively off-putting. It's the enormous chin and an even more enormous forehead.

Promo shot from Take Care of the Lady, the starting in August kdrama about a snotty rich girl played by my favorite Yoon Eun Hye. Gent on the left is her butler and on the right her "icy" (their word, not mine) fiancee. I think the butler is her OTP. (Please please tell me it's a take on the silent deliciousness that is 'Male and Female').

I am willing to suspend my disbelief on some things in a story about a time-travelling humanoid alien - that is not one of them.

Also, I am not racism-obsessed person but could they have ever had a Doctor who was not lily white? And don't get me started on the younger-and-younger thing. What's wrong with 50+ or whatever. But then, if they were going for looks and younger viewers, they picked an odd odd choice for the lead. Odd.

mee tooooo. At first I was hoping he was the main lead but then I saw they'd cast him as the fiance and I knew that it was over. Fiances NEVER get the girl in kdramas. (I mean, really, why marry the person you've promised to marry? wouldn't that be...boring?)

The new companion is gorgeous, but I really wish they had done something different with the dynamic this time around. I'll wait until I see it to reserve any real judgement though. DON'T SCREW THIS UP MOFFAT!

UGH. I'm super not-excited about Yoon Sang Hyun as the butler. I've only seen him in Exhibition of Fireworks, so my entire opinion is colored by that character who I kind of hated. Also, he needs to lose the creepster 'stache.

oh, he wasn't the main character in fireworks - that would be kang ji hwan, who is pretty frickin hot in it as always:) but really? he was the secondary guy? Because I HATED him too - ugh. Now I'm much less excited about this drama(I never thought he was particularly hot but now I've got a bad image of him too).

That guys face looks like Jim Carrey's from The Mask. The chin is almost Leno-esqe, the hair is totally Carrey era 1990's and the forehead. . . it's unique. It kind of looks like someone used one of those stretching functions in Photoshop and stretched his head around.

I think the new Doctor looks way too young and he's still older than me (if only by a little). I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until I see him in action, but...this'll definitely take some getting used to. I just hope the show doesn't get more juvenile along with the cast getting younger...
