I am continuing with my He Was Cool watch - I am getting whiplash from tonal changes - they really crammed in a drama's worth of stuff into a movie :)

But ehhh, who cares, I am in it for Song Seung Heon.
The OTP continues to be hilarious:

Ahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa - at this rate he'd faint from sex.

This reaction from girls to SSH at their school is the most realistic thing in the movie :)

He takes her to wholesome places and shows her wholesome amusements while protecting his virtue:

This made me laugh out loud:

Treats her to pool halls so he can demonstrate how well he handles his stick:

What there was plot here? I forgot...

His F4 can mess your F4:

East of Eden, is this you?

What's a Korean romance without hurt/comfort?

She is ebol and uses bad language but the actress is so pretty.

Awwww.

They bond over hand size and his lack of knowledge of fairytales.

If this wasn't a Korean movie, I'd be taking bets on the fact that I know what his secret was with markers like that...

The eloquence of youth:

Aha! We find his secret. I am a bad person but I loled and loled and loled.

Am hungry!

Secondary girl and her psycho friend start beating up heroine. Clearly not fan of homemade cooking. It's kind of them to do it in a hospital - that way heroine will be able to get treatment asap.

Ahahahaaaaa! Secondary Girl is clearly as bright as a plank - who on earth decides it a good idea to maim the girlfriend of a violent guy in his hospital room - did they think he wouldn't notice?

I was rooting for violence against women, here :)

I am clearly a bad person because I found this scene the funniest in the movie.Stop being such a drama queen and get tested!

SSH's movie brother is also hot:

I am going to finish this tomorrow, I can only take the OTT in small dozes.
You know, all this watching of He Was Cool is reminding me I never finished East of Eden despite my mad love for it in the beginning. It was just too freaking long (68 eps OMG), and had a huge cast of characters a lot of whom I did not care about (Shin Tae Hwan and his whole family bored me only slightly less than did Lee Da Hae and her people). Plus, the fandom shipper wars got me annoyed. But hey, it's over so I can do selective watching and the shipper stuff bugs me not at all since my ship won :P
So, selective viewing of later eps, here I come. After all, they promise me this:
And this (I swear, it's as if the makers made their own mv for those two :D):
Clearly am also not the only shipper as people make tons of Dong Chul/Grace MVs.
Not related to any of the above, but I think I think I might have developed a crush on Lee Seung Gi after hearing him sing. I love his voice. Oh, Hwan. Can you be more awesome? I doubt it.

Date: 2009-07-17 05:53 am (UTC)But OMG, the scene where they first meet. That was EPIC. The hair dying, the hair straightening, Eun Sung CRASHING INTO A CLOWN (with balloons, no less)! I LOLED so hard it hurt.
Eun Sung = Domyoji SO MUCH! I am also probably a bad person because I laughed through the multiple fight scenes, and during the whole AIDS thing too, because, yeah, WHY DOESN'T HE GET TESTED?! He's in a freaking hospital, it's not that hard from there!
I also wanted him to punch the bitchy (yet you're right, she's totally gorgeous) girl in the face there.
Honestly the movie skips around so much it makes my brain hurt, but it's VERY amusing. (Though the way they were treating those poor bunnies bothered me...)

Date: 2009-07-17 06:01 am (UTC)The fight scenes totally made me remember East of Eden where SSH's charactet was basically beaten up/beating others up in every ep - he basically permantently had either a bloody mouth or a cut cheekbone :P (Most likely to emphasize the attractiveness of those two items).
The HIV thing made me lol and lol and lol. Clearly, he doesn't really believe he has it if he's never gotten tested. I hope dopey heroine would at least insist on condoms if he hasn't been tested. :) She should not be like the hero of Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake who decided to prove his love of the heroine by having unprotected sex with her :)
the movie skips like mad - it really should have been a drama.

Date: 2009-07-17 06:07 am (UTC)Aw, poor guy just can't get away from constantly being beaten up! I haven't watched EoE, so mostly I just found it funny. Very Gokusen-esque, a singular force of good beating up a large violent gang. So yes, I was picturing him as Yankumi.
Oh yes, because naturally the way to prove your love is risky unprotected sex. Works like a charm, I hear ;P He must believe that, especially considering all the fights he gets into, I'd hope if he thought he had HIV, he's be a little more conscious about bleeding everywhere!

Date: 2009-07-17 01:36 pm (UTC)Re: beatdowns. I bet they feel his purty face is just not complete without a bruise :) EoE was really good for the first 20+ eps and then it sort of went off the rails (I am still upset as it had such a good story at base) but was still very good in spots. But ahhhhhh, the shipper wars. It was my first time watching a currently airing drama where final ship was unclear and the wars OMG. OMG.
if he thought he had HIV, he's be a little more conscious about bleeding everywhere!
LOL! I am not even sure why he thinks that unless either he and Daddy shared needles orblood transfusions - if he was HIV+ from birth it would show up by now so he'd know :)

Date: 2009-07-17 02:43 pm (UTC)It seriously took me several minutes to figure this out - I was all, "ebol? what's ebol?" - lol! Is this creative license like "true lurve"? ;)
Also - I've so downloaded this & planning a watch this weekend, looks too fun!
