Reading comments on the Time of India website, relating to an article addressing the scandal of Bollywood actor's Shiney Ahuja being accused of rape by his 18-yr-old maid (the cops have corroborating evidence of sexual assault) is...interesting.

There are reasonable people and then there are people like this:

I think (assume) that being the victim of a false rape accusation is as traumatizing (if not more) as being a victim of rape itself.

Shiney attempting to rape his young 18yo maid in the absence of his wife is not such an impossibile situation . Any man is prone to such an eventuality in a moment of weakness.

A day may come, when men will have to take written permission, even from their wives to make love.

As to calling the young actor a pervert: take it easy. He allegedly abused his power over a young servant girl when no one else was around, unable to control his sexual urges and consider the negative consequences of forcing himself on a virgin. He is not the only one who indulges in sexual urges like that. Being a handsome Bollywood star he probably didn't expect such a reaction from a servant.

I am willing to admit that for some people it's both a power and sexual issue (i.e. they get off sexually on dominating other people through force, or they are such a psycopath that to them their pleasure of a moment is all and other people's wants don't even merit a thought) but the fact is - whether it's because they are power freaks or sexual maniacs, doesn't matter - the latter is not an excuse!

There is a drama like that - "Handsome Siblings," with two powerful women martial artists running some sort of a 'defense of wronged women' thing where they and their quasi-son protege go and stick offending men in cages in their cave. I was all for it, until it turned out that the head lady was, of course, evil, and spent her free time plotting to torture quasi-son in most effective manner to avenge the fact that his dad didn't like her.
