Of fanbrats and Black & White

I've been randomly following the plot of Knock Knock Loving You - I have no intention of watching it, see here why but the sheer wtf kept me reading people's reactions. Haaaaaaheheheheheeeeee! Shockingly shockingly shockingly, the heroine does not end up with the guy who has been stalking her like a lunatic and almost raped her but with the guy she loved all along. The fanbrats are PISSED OFF because the almost-rape was proof of how much he loved her and it's all her fault she turned him from happy to almost-rapist! They are STEAMING. One of them keeps posting about her alternative-ending fanfic, of 40 handwritten pages so far, which will be much better than this horrendous abomination. I mean, how can the heroine not love a guy just because he is fixated on her? How can she prefer someone she has always liked to a guy who leaves her no breathing room and almost rapes her? What is wrong with her? She must be insane!

Also follow brief thoughts on ep 14 of Black and White:

* There is NO WAY that Zai Tian and Chen Lin are siblings because the trailer for B&W had another kissing scene between them which hasn't happened yet. I mean, it's established that Zai Tian is messed up and Chen Lin is rebellious, but I don't think they are messed-up/rebellious enough for that.

* I have finally fallen for Forensics Girl - she was so scared yet so brave when she was hiding in the water. And the way she thought about protecting the evidence above all! I love the scene with Zai Tian rescuing her and getting her to the hospital and staying with her. I think she might develop a small thing for him after this - if he can't be with Chen Lin, he should be with her - neither of them have family and could be each other's family (not that his first attempt at a family worked so well). Btw, where was Hero Cop during all of this? I know he is into Chen Lin and all that, but shouldn't he have been out searching for Forensics Girl? She is supposedly a close friend of his!

* I loved seeing Zai Tian fall apart about explosion and then mask it all, as always, under his goofball manner. That's one way to cope.

* I love love Hotdog Guy - he is so competent and awesome. And hot. And an assassin with a conscience. Did I mention competent? He manages to save Hero Cop and Chen Lin even after he was handcuffed in the trunk! I think he and Forensics Girl are going to be my crack ship.

* It will never cease to amuse me that TPTB officially declared that it is humanly impossibly to be as good-looking as Vic Zhou without surgery. LOLOL - he is too perfect to exist, literally. (I have no idea if Vic had things done - he looks the same now as he did in Meteor Garden days and he wasn't an actor before that, but who knows).

Anyway, B&W=Awesome.

I adored Hot Dog Guy (Xiu Jie Kai) when he was Ling's Best Friend in MARS, too. He is just perfect at being all competent and sweet and getting by on personality rather than looks.

He has a blog but it's in Chinese, so I can't read it. However, it does include a HUGE gallery of pics of him.

I've fallen slightly behind in B&W because of finals so am saving it up for an intense glory-marathon over summer, but - It will never cease to amuse me that TPTB officially declared that it is humanly impossibly to be as good-looking as Vic Zhou without surgery. AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I know, right?? I busted out laughing during that moment too. Oh, it's so tongue-in-cheek and hilarious given Vic's perpetually-enduring idol status(how old is he now?! all these years since MG and yet he's just as hot as ever, not just in mine but in everyone's opinions). But yeah - I'm pretty sure he didn't get surgery because remember he was accidentally chosen even for his role in MG - he came with his friend who was auditioning. But I have always said his features were far too perfect to be fair(I feel the same about Oguri Shun, actually. that much perfection should not be in one male form).

I decided to stay far far away from Knock Knock LY a long time ago too.

FYI, I tried KKLY in a fit of boredom and what I saw wasn't bad at all -- I just wasn't in the mood for it. But Dylan was an adorable unrelenting woobie (when heroine caught someone stealing from him/his father's company, he offered the thief money instead, for their debts) and the heroine was smart and sassy and cynical -- I can't imagine she'd roll over and pine for the rapist, unless she was Jandified.

I can't watch 15/16 yet - viikii had a glitch and eps 15/16 are gone, and sublimes haven't subbed it yet. *weeps*

Xiu Jie Kai or Hot Dog Guy or Cute Dimples as I call him, is awesome!!!! And did you notice that he's also Da Ye, the best friend from Mars!!!

I loved Science Girl when she was hiding in the water and how her first priority was to save the evidence even if she got killed there. It's amusing how both she and Chen Lin are falling for Zai Tian now, when they both started out liking Xing Yiong.

Vic is just too good-looking to be true XD!!!

it's always really hard holding up charisma/hotness wise alongside Vic Zhou, but I think Mark Chao does an admirable job. Even he, however, can't always hold on...hence both girls falling for Vic instead.

also, Zai Tian instinctively(even when he's messed up) knows how to treat women/understands women better than Hero does.
