In other news, I have obtained a copy of Star Trek which is awesome as it's pretty decent quality (heads seem to be chopped off a bit at the top but other than that) and I won't be able to see it in a theater again due to baby.

I know it's a super-angsty scene and whatnot but all of a sudden I am distracted and amused at the thought of Spock trying to figure out the whole touchy-feely huggy thing humans do when he and Uhura first hooked up. He is pretty used to it now but I bet at first it was all 'what is that odd grabby thing you guys do?'

Also, the thought of anyone and anything as proper and rational as full-blooded Vulcans doing anything as improper as having sex is...mindboggling. Heh. Spock gets an excuse as a ~~super-woobie~~ halfsie and also because Uhura is so damn awesome, I can't see how anyone wouldn't be in love with her but "normal" Vulcans must do it with a turkey-baster.

He is kissing her back. EEEEEEEEEE! Unfortunately I mean he is returning her kiss and not that he is kissing the part of human anatomy on the opposite side of the front :)

Not sure what I loved more in this scene, Spock and Uhura making out in front of the entire crew in the transport area or Kirk's goggle-eyed reaction to see that the Ice Princess is not universally so. Not to mention prefers Spock to him. Heeee.
