Am I weird for thinking he is the only truly gorgeous jdrama actor, except for Takeshi Kaneshiro? I love a lot of them, but those are the only two I find truly automatically gorgeous.

No definitely not weird. Alot of j-actors fall into the "cutie" or "hottie" category for me but Nagase is an utterly gorgeous MAN! (And yeah, Takeshi would be in that category too.) Comedic James Bond sounds like a perfect role for Nagase, can't wait!

PS. Watch Tiger & Dragon. It's kind of an unromantic jdrama but it does have some of that as well and it's basically brilliant and Nagase's best comedic role in my books. (If you do watch, start with the special - it preceeds the drama.)

Do look it up. I've only seen a couple of episodes, but I very much liked them. That traditional comedy art (rakugo) is actually wonderfully linked with the stories told in each episode, since Nagase's character is mostly completely inept at it, but actually manages to be good when telling stories related to his real life.

I'm very excited about the news!! There are so many interesting dramas this summer, since I'm definitely going to check out the Takki/Nishikido Ryo suspense drama and Yamapi's summer drama as well. Where will I find the time to watch all these?!

Heh, I'm thinking the Yamapi drama might be good for eyecandy. Basketball -> sweaty Pi -> sweaty shirtless Pi... A girl can hope, right :D. (And I've heard rumours it's actually going to be based on High School Musical, so might be fun)

Oh, and there's the Kimura Takuya drama as well.
