Just got my hands on the granddaddy of all kdramas, Eyes of Dawn (1991).

Credits:

War, occupation, and comfort women - not subjects kdramas have addressed much since. It sounds like this famous drama could be something I will find good.

In another universe from serious issues of EoD, I am planning to start deliciously trashy Bad Love. How can I resist. How?

Is it hot here or is it just me?

how the heck did you get your hands on that?
You should also get your hands on "Hourglass." The writer of The Legend wrote both Eyes of Dawn, Sandglass, and the currently airing Story of a Man.

And please, don't. Don't start Bad Love. I just finished it because I was felt bad for the first few hours I wasted on it. Seriously, I want those hours back. If you have watched the makeout scene in the elevator, you have watched it all. It is the only scene that is entertaining.

Okay, maybe I'm being a little harsh. But think of it as the direct ancestor of the second half of BOF without the good acting and flashy montages.

I bought Sandglas from hanbooks but it hasn't gotten here yet. Sadly, I was overenthusiastic and their EoD is out of stock and I can't seem to find it anywhere else as the limited edition dvd is out of stock everywhere. Boooo! I know I should have bought it a year ago, but it was so bloody expensive. Now, I am just going to hunt it down - I can get quite monomaniacal and so now I will. I mean, if I tracked down a Russian-subbed 70s French miniseries I liked as a kid, I can find EoD, right, right? :)

Bad Love was promised to be very trashy. Sometimes I need that :)

Where the heck did you find Eyes of Dawn? I'd love to get my hands on Sandglass as well.

I'm a thinking that Bad Love is a bit too bad for me. And I don't mean 'bad' in a good way. *g*

I bought Sandglass at hanbooks.com

But it appears I spoke too soon about EoD - they had it listed on their website and I got excited but it appears out of stock. *Same of YesAsia). CURSES!!!! Now, me being me, I simply must have it three times as much.
