I am watching the first ep of Smile with subs and I love it. Love it love it love it.










I have my jdrama for the spring (jdramas are much more hit and miss for me than kdramas but when they click, I go rather more crazy for them than for any other drama type).

I can see why the ratings haven't been spectacular - nobody wants to be told or reminded they are racist.

On a more shallow note, I am glad to see Matsumoto Jun has been eating. Now if we only could get Tamaki Hiroshi to follow his example.

I have also been reading Henryk Sienkewitz's The Deluge and am in love with it, but that's a separate matter...

I'm really tempted to watch it now that I saw half of the reviews from my f-list. But I so do not like Aragaka Yui :/. I'm going to wait a bit, see where it goes.

i am SO loving this drama and this just after watching ep 1. and i don't think it is due to my huge obsession with jun. heheheheh
i had a mix feeling about gakki and jun as pair in any drama but now i think it is as cute as jun x mao pairing. well, somehow jun always has a great chemistry with his leading lady. from gakusen to Smile.
happy that jun being eating too. he looks much better than HYD the movie. he was super skinny there and that red/black stipe trousers made it even worst. what was he thinking of?
on the other note, saw jun's Last Princess movie last night. why on earth they have to make him looking like one of those apes from planet of the apes movie? such a waste of pretty face specially when it has to be in that bandit outfit.

Yeah, they are cute together. But yes, this drama is wonderful - I wish there was more than one ep a week because I crave more!

Yeah - Jun's character is half-Filipino and often (though not always or anything) gets treated in a discriminatory fashion.
