I have seldom seen so many pissed-off people in one place as there are currently in the East of Eden soompi thread (not since Powerful Opponents days - grrrr, PO was such a perfect drama with an ending that made no sense). And I can see why! They killed Dong Chul off!!! WTF? Saving Dong Wook. In case we didn't realize already how much he loved his little (non-blood) brother - as if all the other 5,891 times he's sacrificed anything and everything for him wasn't proof? Also, he's ended up giving up so much and suffering and everything just to die at the end? WTF! And way to go, poor Grace is now a widow twice? Not to mention all her family is dead. Yay - what a lovely fate for someone with a history of depression and suicide attempts. Party time. Do not even get me started on Ji Hyun forgiving her rapist husband and loving him back. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I shall solace myself with the pretty shippy.

THEY KILLED DONG CHUL? THEY KILLED TEH PRETTY?

EOE's script has been a little strange since the mid 30s but how does it make sense to kill one of the long suffering characters? I suppose it's only through lack of time we don't see Grace die of cancer during childbirth.

I'm not surprised about the MH/JH thing, I'm betting they got the 'happy' ending. The writer really mangled his and Dong Wook characters in the later part of the season. Tell me Daddy Evol was sent to prison for a very long time at least.

Dammit all. There goes another drama I could have watched. KDramas are really disappointing me these day. I think after I finish BOF I'm gonna take a break from them.

Yeah, I think I might need a break too - there seems to be a current attack of the stupid going on with them.

Have you tried Cain and Abel yet? Because I tried to watch the first ep and it bored me to tears?

Nope, not yet - will try at some point for HJM and SJS but am in no hurry.

GAH! I really can't decide whether I should attempt this drama or not. I got so mad at the final episode of Zettai Kareshi...

The problem is if I start it I will have to finish it! Even if it takes me years :D I'm like that

OMG, what? I don't think I have ever ever been so glad that I stopped watching a drama before. The first 20 episodes or whatever just drug you through hell and back... it just got too tiring for me to continue. I guess that worked out all right though as obviously the writers went nuts.

I do have to say I am totally thrilled to hear that Evil Daddy died. I hope it was horribly and painfully. That was like the main thing I was waiting to see. And who did Grace marry the first time round? Dennis Oh No?

Yup, she married Dennis 'Mah Queen' Oh No. LOL.

Evil Daddy went screaming over a cliff in a car via Nurse. Yessss!

I was so addicted to the damn drama for the first 20 or so eps - could barely wait for subs. And then it all went insane. It did introduce me to the wonders of SSH's abs, for which I am enternally grateful :)

I ffwd through the last two episodes. I admit I cried when he died. OH Dong Chul.

I also don't know how I feel exactly about Shin Tae Hwan's death. I think a life in prison would have been more pleasant. Or capital punishment. This man deserves no quick death. His pain should be drawn out. ARGH. But then, knowing this man, he would have somehow found a way to get out of prison and continously make lives miserable. So it's good that he dies like this. I guess...

I don't know if you watched any k-family dramas such as the daily ones. I appreciate how in this drama as well as others I have seen, different types of family are imagined where non-blood related, as well as families with more than two mothers come together. Considering how conservative Korea can be about families, I like the work that these dramas do to show the possibilities.

I've only tried Golden Bride - but I don't think it was a daily? I liked what I saw though.
