I do watch American TV!

1. crumpeteer's post with GIFs from Legend of the Seeker here really makes me want to watch the show. Am shallow.

2. The other day the TV was left on and I saw something that looked really cool - some blond guy was angsting in official-type place. I sat down and promptly watched the episode. Guess what? It was Mentalist and I got horribly hooked on that ep. Plus, everyone who commented on Simon Baker was riiiiight.

3. I watched the latest Futurama movie and I cannot love Futurama any more than I do now!

You have to put up with the cheese factor on LotS, but even though Craig Horner's accent can get shaky and the lines are fantasy cliche, he and Bridget Regan have some awesome chemistry and the furtive, forbidden love that he and Kahlan have is rather appealing to me. Craig has also charmed me with his wide eyed innocence and ripped abs. He's got an adorable smile and plays innocent cute rather charmingly.

Also, Simon Baker is the cutest thing in the world. I sort of melt at his smile.

"The Mentalist" is kind of a silly show, but Simon Baker redeems it :D

Futurama is possibly the best thing in the world. It will never not be awesome. Also, Billy West is totally my voice-crush.

I guess The Mentalist is kind of a procedural - which I know you're not into - but Simon Baker's hotness + angstiness + troubledness might make it worth it enough for you to keep watching. I need to watch the rest of it myself, have only seen two eps. Because Christ he's hot. Hothothothot.

Oh man, Simon Baker totally makes The Mentalist. It is an entertaining show nevertheless, but he makes it all the more better. And he is PRETTY.

I'm enjoying Legend of the Seeker. It's quite cool and nifty and different from everything else that's on American TV.

I've also heard great things about the Mentalist, and I have a whole bunch of episodes to check out :D

I hate procedurals. HATE THEM. But the Mentalist won me over from the beginning. It helps that Jane's amusing and angsts over his murdered wife & child and pisses people off all over the place. This show would fail without Simon Baker, I think. Totally worth a watch once in a while if you don't want to tune in regularly.
