Tonight Mr. Mousie and I are off to see Rescue Dawn, the flick with Christian Bale. I love war movies, and POW movies, and escape movies, and angsty movies, and Christian Bale movies, so it should be good. Plus, it has awesome reviews (it's based on a true story of a pilot shot down over 60s Laos, trying to make it back out alive).

Mmmmm.

In other news, we watched more Doctor Who. So gooooood. Finished 'Age of Steel' which was angry, and sad and good. And Rose and her trying to recover the Daddy she never can, and Micky staying for good, and the Doctor's off-kilter rage at the human waste, and the Cybermen scaring me and making me cry at the same time? Oh. OH.

The next ep was about 53 England, where people's faces ended up being taken as a result of TV. It was another excellent ep. But what stays with me is the shippiness. The way Rose and the Doctor are gleeful about the tourism and craziness (even more evident in next ep about Black Hole, where they think it might be crazy danger, so should they go back, and then torn and laugh), but mainly the way he got so boiling mad and cold with it at the same time, when he saw that Rose had her face taken. Whoa. And the hug at the end. *dies a little*

I have also watched more Jumong. Wonder of wonders: Mr. Mousie voluntarily watched some with me. He never watches dramas. Never.

The scene of Haemosu's death killed me. I totally bawled like a little girl. Because Yuhwa was going to leave and live with him. And the horrible brothers finally brought him down through archery, as they couldn't take him out with swords. And the fact that the three flunkies had to knock Jumong unconscious as he was running to help even though it was certain death. And Yuhwa's weeping over the body, and Kumwa seeing Haemosu again, dead (OMG, the flashback when Haemosu confesses to Kumwa that he is terrified of battle, and that he is a coward who is good at putting a brave face. OMG OMG. *bawl*)

And then Yuhwa almost dies of grief. And Jumong is going to pieces, trying to literally drink himself unconscious, and sleeping around, and just consumed by how it's all his fault (of course Haemosu got killed because he was Haemosu, but the kid doesn't know that). And then there is the scene 'morning after' where he has nightmares of Haemosu's death and wakes up crying. And starts smashing things in the room, and screaming, but I am afraid I am distractedas his shirt is open...mmmmmm.

And shrine maid comes in and wants to help and he tells her not to as anyone close to him dies.

OMG.

Self-loathing.

And then King calls him back but he refuses, and King comes to fetch him, only to see him take out a squad of assassins sent after him, with deadly precision. (OMG HOT). And he comes back only because his Mom is ill and makes her better.

Bte, Kumwa? I love him. I love it when he tells Jumong, that even if heavens forsake him (Jumong. As Jumong says he is cursed), he, Kumwa, never will.

He might not be his father in blood, but he is his father.

And then Kumwa declares competition for who will inherit. And there is a whole plot about salt (yeah, salt). But that is not what I want to talk about. I love that Kumwa cuts the Shrine Priestess out entirely because she imprisoned Haemosu (I love it when she says it was the will of the Gods, he throws back into her face, 'would Gods do such a wretched thing?')

And Daeso sinks to new lows, going and finding Haemosu's corpse and hacking off his head to give as the present to the Hans. OMG. I hate him SO MUCH. Mr. Mousie was laughing at me, because every time he is on screen, I keep telling Jumong to stab him in the face.

By the look on Jumong's face when they meet, Jumong wants to do the same. YES. Please. Please.

Sosuhno is so caught by Jumong, isn't she? I love it when she watches him practice-fight, and he is deadly, and precise, and fast and sweaty. She wants him to tell her what his real plans are (he asked leave to leave the Palace again and signed on with her troop) but of course, he won't.

I love this so much.

And Song Il-Gook=LOVE.

In other news, Lee Jun Ki's Time between Dog and Wolf is about to start, with the first ep airing on July 18th.

MBC summarized it thus: The drama will combine the wild action and sweet love story of “Romeo and Juliet.” Su-hyun (Lee Jun-ki), whose parents were killed by an international crime ring, become a special agent to take revenge. And you know the best part? He will infiltrate and become part of the gang. Can you see the ANGST????

Ooh, I love Christian Bale's movies! They're all so different from each other and they're usually really, really good, too.

Time of Dog and Wolf looks terribly interesting, because after all, it's Seo Jeong Woo! FIGHTING CRIME.

Also, in case you didn't see it, a small and very belated thank you gift for your lovely present. ♥

Aww, Jun Ki can't just get the girl, can he? He's got to be traumatized too. Then again, Jeong Woo was traumatized too, and STILL didn't get the girl, so I suppose this is a step up for him. XD

And you're very, very welcome, Mousie -- I just can't believe I had forgotten about posting it until last night!

hmm...is it just me, or is the best way to get mr mousie to watch anime or dramas to tell him that it involves period costumes and swords?(wait, that sounds familiar...)

Dog/Wolf sounds pretty good, plus, Lee Joon Ki DOESN'T look like a girl and the other guy looks good too...

What's the Christian Bale movie about?

LOL. Nah, it doesn't have to have constumes and swords. But fighting is a huge plus, and if it's mainly romantic, he;s out :)

Re: Bale movie. He plays a US pilot shot down over Laos in the 60s who gets captured and escapes.

"Idiot Lantern" is a great episode for shipiness. Ten goes through things in his normal methodical, quirky way UNTIL Rose gets involved and then is he ever MAD. The sheer rage that they just left her in the street is amazing. You don't want to make an enemy of the Doctor, and the Wire does.

On a side note, the outtakes I have posted on my journal prove how hard it was to film the faceless scene as Billie Piper's face was covered with black dots to they could CGI it out later and DT keeps busting out laughing every time he looks at her.

Even I wanted to take a step back, and I was watching on the tv. His objectivity just goes out of the window when she is concerned.

I am watching the two parter with the Beast right now, and it's brilliant and all sorts of spooky, but once again, the complete concern he has for Rose really stands out. His first concern is that 'I've stranded you here' And OMG, the hugging. Ten is more open about physicality than Nine somehow.

*has mad shipper glasses on*

Ten seems more comfortable with himself than Nine did. There was an awkwardness with Rose that Nine had that Ten lacks. The only inhibition Ten still seems to have is telling Rose that he loves her, and that's just an obvious issue of the Doctor.

The shipiness at the end of "The Satan Pit" is great. His little speech when he confronts the devil about Rose is one of the most heartfelt things I've ever heard. I wish some guy would say that about ME.

Yeah. And the thing is, she totally lives up to it, both here and at the end of Doomsday.

yay to the new Lee Jun Ki drama! OMG!!! me wants to see how Lee Jun Ki's acting would be. i always think that Korean actors are really good and i've only seen one LJK drama, My Girl, and he's not even the lead but did a pretty good job. and with this, i know he'll prove me right. :D can't w8! hopefully it'll be subbed really fast.

re Jumong, i think i finished watching the whole thing in 2 wks. i can't go any faster than that. unless i don't sleep nor eat and just spend my whole life watching. hehehe... nways, there's still a lot of more exciting scenes to happen that i'm sure you're gonna like. this drama is really good. i mean, i didn't care that it was 80eps. long, unlike Jewel in the Palace. hehehe

Lol, they ALL will craaack, whether they like it or not! Next time I want the BOYFRIEND to watch anything with me...I'll know who to flag as an

I am afraid I am distracted as his shirt is open...mmmmm

Lol! I can't wait for this!

Guh, seriously all the men, with the exception of Daeso, are all looking really attractive. There is something soooo compelling about a really physical masculine man, in body, mind and soul! guuuh!!! (shivers down my spine thinking about it)

And while i do like my men looking a bit rough round the edges ( a bit like Daniel Craig whom I only discovered on Sunday in James Bond...ong hot!) Lee Jun-Ki in this drama...hmm...not too sure about him...
