Still in love with Corner in Love!

I am on episode 12 of Corner with Love (I have the DVD version so the total is 23 eps) and I love it so madly: it's the perfect combo of funniness, romance, and a bit of angst. Just GUUUUUH. I haven't fallen for a Taiwanese drama this hard in a long time.

Also, Barbie and Alan's characters are such total darlings. I love everything about them: the bickering, the super-solid friendship, the chemistry, and the fact that they are a bit in denial about their feelings (though he less than she) even with all the kissing.

Yes. KISSING. This drama has a lot! I love htier first kiss, where they are in the middle of a conversation and he asks her to close her eyes and she does, because she thinks he is doing this thing where you have to describe the other person's face with eyes closed (long story) and in the middle of it, he just swoops in and kisses her! And her eyes pop open but she doesn't move for a long time and then she does shove him off and is all 'why the hell did you do that?' and he looks totally dazed and is 'I don't know.' *pause* And she grabs him and kisses him!!!! EEEEEE! And also says she doesn't know why :)

Or the way they are jealous, or the kiss in the pool, where they are fighting and he just kisses her. OMG.

Also, I haave to say I love girl friendships in this, and I love the interesting approach to Barbie's fiance, who ditched her when she became poor. He is not evil or even money-grubbing. He is just weak and a wet blanket and can't stand up to his parents. Booo! He would be pretty useless in times of adversity.

Yep, it's nice to see Barbie and the girl she befriends when they look for jobs and leave jobs together. :D

I was about to start with 'Who are you' when I got sidetraced with 'Over the Rainbow'. That was surprisingly good. I never thought 20-something idol wannabees would keep me glued to the screen. *is mystified*

Why is it that at first you can't find anything worth watching then you get a landslide? Must be one of the mysteries of the universe.

I can't recall what initally made me check OtR out but I ended up liking it a lot. Even watched parts of it and the whole last episode again (I'm now totally addicted to the 'One Eyed Fish' song), lol. I enjoyed the music and dancing (it was in moderation and part of the storyline). The story had certain solidity to it, with actual character growth. And the characters came out as proper people with issues, good and bad sides. There was some angst, it wasn't draggy (to me anyways) and acting was pretty good (even Hwanhee was ok). And there's no denying that Ji Hyun Woo is a cutie. :p Man, he's tall!

Not sure if it would be your cup of tea but sure, give it a try. :)

Oh, almost forgot! Finished Who Are You yesterday. Yup, it was very nice, flawed (could have done with editing) but nice. Loved the ending shot! I'm now looking forward to 'Tripple' and some more Yoon Kye Sang.

Yeah, WAY needed an editor:a lot of kdramas do, sadly (I can count perfectly paced kdramas with no extra 'fat' on the fingers of one hand).

Well, after I'm done with what's sure to an angst-riffic ending on Tree Of Heaven, I'll probably be in the mood for something light and this seems to be the ticket. It's interesting how after most k-dramas I watch, I have to switch to a tw-drama afterwards. Taiwanese dramas are just so damn silly.

That said, have you watcher or heard of When It's At Night? I was just wondering because I started downloading it and wanted to know someone's opinion if they had watched it.

I enjoyed CWL but it did get draggy by the end.
