Thank you chisakami for the heads-up about Luck by Chance (Bollywood movie, opening January 30, 2009).



I just saw this trailer and I must see it!

It is a look at modern Bollywood, especially one struggling actor's attempt to make it and oh! It looks so amazing!

Not to mention the cast is to die for, whatever the Bollywood equivalent of an all-star cast is (Hrithik Roshan a.k.a. "per Dangermousie the Hottest Star in Bollywood" as the Superstar? Be still my heart!) Not to mention Konkona Sen Sharma, Juhi Chawla, Rishi Kapoor etc.

And I can never get used that this is what Farhan Akhtar (the male lead) looks like. I mean! It's Farhan Akhtar, A-list director/screenwriter, and one of my favorite ones, the one who did my 'gateway drug' movie Dil Chahta Hai (which is one of THE Bollywood movies) and the super-stylish and super-entertaining Don. All that and he is actually young and hot and a good actor to boot? That combo is a scary scary thing to contemplate.

Farhan Akhta can sing too, apparently, as of Rock On! It's sort of ridiculous and I'm not sure how he can do all these things (pact with the devil?), but I'm perfectly happy to fangirl.

I'm not a fan of Bollywood but Dil Chahta Hai was really good!
