I simply must find and watch Devil's Whore, the currently airing British television series set in the Revolutionary England. I am sure it will be fairly ahistorical but I'll do my best to forget that because: 17th century outfits! Cavaliers! Roundheads! And above all, John Simm who I will watch in anything.

I'm only about half way through the 2nd episode, but it's really fantastic. John Simm is just... totally amazing. And the production values... I really wish North American television would learn a thing or two. It's moody and atmospheric, and just really well done.
