Seeing that "hot men" seems to be uniformly the most popular topic, by popular demand, I bring you: Hot Men of TV SciFi and Fantasy. This has nothing to do with my desire to look at them myself. Of course.

You know how I said I like scifi/fantasy for adventure, clever writing etc? Well, that and hot angsty men, frequently wearing leather and toting guns.

Without much further ado, I present my list. Quite subjective and murder on the dial-up, considering there are 20 pics of varying sizes.

John Crichton, Farscape. My number one favorite. The dark hair-blue eyes-deadly angst combo is irresistable.

Lee Adama, Battlestar Galactica. Go read [livejournal.com profile] queenofthorns's Leecaps to see why.

Chief Galen Tyrol, Battlestar Galactica. Competent and cuddly.

Karl "Helo" Agathon, Battlestar Galactica. The end of the world maybe nigh, but on the plus side, the sexy side of the gene pool is flourishing.

Mal Reynolds, Firefly. Come on, I've been raving about the guy for a week. Why do I have to elaborate?

Dr. Simon Tam, Firefly. Apparently in the future, hot people will congregate to angst together.

Angel, from Buffy and Angel. Mopey? Yeah. But who the heck cares when you look at him!

Spike, from Buffy and Angel. Always thought Vampires are ugly people with a lisp. I guess not.

Oz, from Buffy. Come on, how could you not love Oz? It's some sort of a crime, somewhere. Or should be.

Wesley, from Angel. Angsty, hot and British.

Max, from Roswell. I haven't seen any eps yet, though because of [livejournal.com profile] vierran, I'll be checking it out, but the eye candy doesn't look bad.

Sheppard spiky hair dude from Atlantis. I haven't seen more than a minute of this show, nor do I have any interest in it. But far be it from me to be prejudiced enough not to include such well-suited specimen.

Locksley, from Robin of Sherwood. I was 8 and he was my crush.

Clark, from Smallville. Once again, not a show I watch much. But why should it stop me when eye candy is involved?

Duncan McLeod, from Highlander. Mmmm, swords.

Methos, from Highlander. Mmmm, brains.

Dark Angel guy. Seen only a bit of the show, but for purposes of hotness completion, here he is.

Daniel Jackson, from SG-1. By special request and because I am always open to more eye candy.

Michael, from Roswell. For [livejournal.com profile] crumpeteer

Cade, from First Wave. Because how could I forget.

Where is Daniel Jackson?!? Must have an archaeologist on deck at the Hottness Team. I would attempt to inject RDA, but his niche has been filled already by the many "men in uniform" on your list. You have no
archaeologist/linguist/egyptologist/whatevertheheck though. Consider Danny, won't you?

I have actually never seen much SG1. But I am willing to omit the oversight and added him to the list, as far be it from me to object to more eye candy.

Yay. See, I was never a Danny fan till I became something of a nerd myself, and I realized what a commodity a man with an IQ and biceps is. Haven't seen very many, I think they mainly keep to themselves for fear of being bear-hugged to death by hoardes of fangirls.

Btw, I looked at your journal and I liked it. Is it OK to friend you?

Absolutely. Wow. Checked yours too, because if I see a link, I click it. I'll friend you too, if that's all right?

Ah yes, I remember again why I loved sci-fi/fantasy so much. And I read "Methos" as "Mentos". Hee.

Anyway, much love for Sheppard guy who I've never seen, but dang if he doesn't look like Mulder's long lost cousin. What a hottie.

And Lee and Simon. GUH. Anytime, anywhere, boys. Is it wrong that I find that picture of Lee with blood all over him really sexy? I'm not sure if it's the arms, the blood, the look of vulnerability or the handcuffs that has me ready to jump him or what.

I was a sucker for Michael on Roswell, not Max, as I tend to go for the bad 'uns on face value.

And Spike. So much Spike love. He was the reason I got into Buffy. His snark and psuedo-Euro trash style just won me over. How many vampires do you know that are addicted to soap operas?

I am going to add in Michael, just for you :)

And if you are sick, so am I, because cuffs+blood+arms=Yay (this from a girl who was ogling Mal when he was being severely tortured in War Stories, so it's clearly a trend, with me).

As to Spike, loved him from the intro ep.

Ah thank you! Michael was the snarky one of the two and I just couldn't help but like him.

They're just so...hot when they're a little beat up. One of my friends and I used to talk about that and try to pin down the appeal, but we never could get it completely.

And Mal, even though he's not my favorite, I completely understand his appeal. He's a Han Solo type. The honorable rogue. I was never a Han Solo fangirl either, but the both have that appeal. I type first and foremost was the sweet, quiet guys and secondly the snarky ill tempered ones.

Ohhh, snark! I think I'll like him then.

hot when they're a little beat up

Oh yes. Maybe it's the Florence Nightingale principle.

The honorable rogue.

Yes. But I am not usually a Han Solo type either. I like all the controlled angst he has. *sigh*

And what is it with sci-fi fantasy and leather? There seems to be a definite trend. Shiny leather seems to be the clothing material of the future.

Mal, I don't know. I like him, but he's not my type. That and I struggle to keep Nathan Fillion, Jason Bateman and Jerry O'Connell apart. Check it out, they all look similar. Anyway, I'm not much for the commanding types. Never went for Horatio either. Wangst just doesn't win me over except in anime.

Not sure who the other two are. *is confused*

I am all about angst, baby :) That, and I find competency a huge turn on.

Jason Bateman is on Arrested Development and Jerry O'Connell is on Crossing Jordan. Both of them look like they could be related to Fillion.
