Yeah, I am spamming.

I just started Ikebukuro West Gate Park.

Well.

Well.

WELL.

I don't think I've ever seen a drama that opened that way. With our hero jerking off in the bathroom to a porn mag. Ummm. Yeah. At least now I know why Japanese toilets have that particular 'clean-up douche' button.

It is excellent (so far) but it's certainly not like any jdrama I've seen. I think it could take Koizora, eat it for breakfast, and still have room for Hana Yori Dango and Hana Kimi for a little snack. I kinda want to see Nagase and the gang rob the F4. They could probably pull their arms off or something. (Huge points for delinquents who look like they could put the hurt on you as opposed to usual twiggy girl-looking boys trying desperately to play the part).

Excellent! I really enjoyed IWGP - it's completely off the wall, in a cracktastic "oh Japan, never change!" kind of way, but there are also some really awesome moments. And, baby!Yamapi... well, not really baby, but very young.

It's certainly very different which is very enjoyable. And it has some really odd camera angles. It's like they wanted to shoot an indie film :)

I love IWGP! It's very odd and kooky, with some strange (but loveable) characters running around. Kubozuka Yosuke as Takashi (King) is pitch perfect as the leader of the G-Boys - he actually looks like he could take someone on; as does the rest of his gang. And everyone in the cast was just so young. (Little Yamashita Tomohisa was only 15. And Nagase Tomoya was just 22.) But, yes, the writing, directing, and acting is all great for this series.

I love IWGP because it's Kudo Kankuro's first drama, so he was obviously throwing everything at the wall to see what stuck. There's a certain freedom in knowing what can be batshit, will be batshit.
