I love these eps! But yeah, the angst is beginning to happen. But so is kissing, so we are even so far.
Suzu is worried about Miwako. She might not know Miwako is Taro's wife but she can tell Miwako knows him and she is afraid she will take him away.

She she is being all off and a bit standoffish with Taro and he is rather confused, poor woobie!

He remembers talking to the Doctor that he might be happier not remembering (I think this is rather a turning point in the drama, isn't it? Up until then Taro was either curious about his part or passive about finding out about it. But now he actively doesn't want to, because this might mean tearing him away from this life and from Suzu)

Broody and hot :)

James, an even bigger Suzu/Taro shipper than me :)

He is so confused about her sudden about-face:

You know, even though she comes between the OTP, and it's one of my all-time fave drama OTPs, I can't hate Miwako at all. I can so easily put myself into her stylish shoes. Also, I think it's a family history thing. One of my great-aunts was married for only a month and then WW2 started, her husband got drafter, and was shortly killed in action. She never remarried. So yeah...I can see how that would be.

Taro comes in to ask Suzu if she will go with him to Merry's bar. She pretends to be all nonchalant even if she is holding her magazine upside down!

And then she tells him to please not go but stay. OMG.

Guuuuh, I love all the staring in this drama.

Milk. Clearly it does his body good :P

Projectionist is beginning to wonder if Taro would be better off with his 'real' family...

Adorableness!

Taro overhears Suzu worrying about what will happen if Taro gains his memory back. Will he forget them all? I love how she never asks 'will he forget me?' but keeps asking all the round-about questions...

Poor thing! But a hot one! He is thinking of Suzu...

I found Sabako's backstory very sad. Utahime is full of women and men losing their love, isn't it?

Suzu finds out from Croissant that Miwako is Taro's wife:

This scene killed me dead. I love it when big guys are all tender and solicitous and stuff...*mushes* Also, he kinda has to bend in two to reach down. SQUEE.

He is remembering Suzu coming up with that silly monkey dance they do to cheer him up...

And Miwako comes to meet him. This was my favorite scene in the episode. My heart sort of breaks for both of them, Miwako who sees her long-lost and loved husband a total stranger (who is in love with someone else, she will learn shortly) and Taro, whose happy life is about to be shattered for a person he doesn't remember and has no feeling for...

I do find their conversation so interesting. When she says she is glad she didn't have another man in the meantime because it wouldn't have been her fault but it would have made it messy (because that is Taro's situation, isn't it) and his comment at some other point that if you keep on loving someone and loving them, then you will finally reunite with them, even if you have to be reincarnated (because then that really makes the ending which I spoiled for myself have so much sense and makes me feel better)

Suzu overhears them talking...

And then Miwako tells him that the long-lost but found husband she mentioned is him.

And she tells him about his past, how they got married when they were students and he was from an upper-class family etc etc...

Oh, Suzu!

Miwako is all 'this was my husband's favorite food, can you give it to him and share with everyone?'

And everyone is 'this is yummy' but Taro is all 'I am full, I don't want to try it.'

Miwako is telling the villagers about what Taro (i.e. Yuichi) was like and he sounds nothing like Taro: an upperclass intellectual who wanted to become a politician. I wonder if Taro is so different as an unconscious reaction against anything connected to his past or because the environment is different? You know, this drama can't really have a happy ending. Either he has to give up his love for Suzu or, if he stays, wouldn't it mean denying his past?

Yup, poor Miwako is back...

Awwww, he's come to pick Suzu up from the bar.

Awww, he is remembering asking her to go to town with him this month, earlier!

Poor Suzu!

He finds out that the watch that was sewn on the inside of his kamikaze uniform was the first gift Miwako gave him. (At some point we find out that his family is dead, parents in air-raids and younger brother in the war...no wonder he didn't want to have memories. So basically for him the return hinges on Miwako. There is nothing else for him in his old life)

Cute!

Blahblah Croissant, you are kind of irritating.

He's got the cutest grin!

He tries Miwako's pickles, formerly his favorite food and can't stand them. Yay, symbolism!

He tells Miwako he only thinks of her as a stranger...

Meanwhile he gets back and Suzu is so upset and weeping and is all 'forgive me, Taro, I lost the pearl necklace you gave me. I hid it but it's gone.'

*thud*

He tells her the necklace was a fake so he took it from her room and was going to buy her a real one and substitute it but she caught him.

And she tells him she doesn't want a new one, she wants this one. So he asks her if she is trying to save him money and she replies she wants this one because he gave it to her on her birthday...Cue staring. Lots of staring.

And he tells her he told Miwako he can only see her as a stranger...

So she tells him 'put it on me' and that scene made me gibber so much it was ridiculous.

You know, they have so much chemistry, it's sort of insane...

And then she leans up and kisses him. Eeeeeeeeee!!!!

But what really killed me was the scene after the kiss, when he just leans in and holds her and GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!

I love this drama so much!
