I just saw some stills from the upcoming period Korean drama The Country of the Winds and GUUUUUUH...I want now! I want with subs! I want!!!!

It is based on a manga and it stars Song Il-Gook (one of my all-time favorites) as a prince abandoned by the royal family and raised by strangers, who later becomes some super awesome king.

There are sword fights, there are intrigues, there is OTP and there is Song Il-Gook looking so good it's borderline illegal.



I want this! Now!

I suspect the beginning of the manhwa is about his father, and that the attention will shift to him. That, or the drama just completely changes the background. Could go either way. No biggee either way.

LOL. See, I want him tortured (*yum*). Just not as much as in Lobbyist, which had more torture than Dog/Wolf! It got a bit embarassing to watch the writer/director's id so blatantly on display! SIG's character Harry was literally tortured in every single ep, and by 'tortured' I don't mean 'smacked on the face', no I mean bonafide hideous beatdowns or creative and lengthy torture. (I quote self on my intial watch for a sample: So far, I have seen 13 eps and there hasn't been a single ep without Harry being mistreated (often, more than once per ep)...In ep 13, the bad guys caught him and Maria again and hung him upside down and whipped him, and then dunked him in a tank of water, and then hit him with the butts of their rifles, with Maria screaming for them to stop as an accompaniment. I mean...
I know Song Il-Gook is unbearably gorgeous but you don't have to punish him for it :P)

Oh lord, that sounds exhausting. Actually, it sounds like Iljimae. XD I'm sure you've read spoilers, but eventually EVERYONE WHO CARED FOR YONGEE SUFFERED. EVERYONE. A character getting close to him was pretty much a death warrant. In one ep there was twenty straight minutes of crying by everyone in the main cast. NO WONDER EVERYONE'S AFRAID OF KDRAMA.
