More Olympic Blather...

I have a confession: much as I enjoy other summer Olympic events (archery, fencing, shooting, men's swimming and diving, rhythmic gymnastics, pentathlon), I don't enjoy any other summer Olympics sport half as much as I do Men's Gymnastics. I have no interest in Women's event (for one thing, they all look malnourished, and for another, they can't do things that are as eye-popping as the men due to differences in physiology) but oh boy, I love Men's Gymnastics with unholy passion.

It's jaw-dropping amazing to watch and to think that a human body can do that. Plus, look at all those muscles and body control. They could be good in other situations. I did not just type that.

I'm a big Olympics fan too, and really, it makes me all sorts of patriotic. Gymnastics is one of my favorite events, men's and women's both, and really, I agree 100% with all your, er, observations ;)

I don't deny men's gymnastics being fantastic to watch, but I still don't understand all the hype that surrounds it. But then I don't get basketball hype either.

I will say that the men's gymnasts have a good understanding of mounting and dismounting... oh SNAP I just went there.

I'll admit the women's gets a whole lot more hype, especially this year with the Hamm twins being out of it, but again, where's the field hockey team? Or the women's boxing?

I think the best thing about the Olympics is that I get to see it when everyone else does! Being in the UK, all the movies come out weeks and months later than the US but not in this case!

I loved watching archery actually. I do like winter Olympics a lot better though, maybe because in general I like winter better. I think the swimming women look very healthy! :)

I never liked the men's gymnastics. I always thought their parallel bars were boring.

I'm sorry I missed your call on Saturday. Hope you enjoyed the movie. I was working at 4ps... which I'll be doing every weekend through the end of August. I'm hoping to cut back in September to Wed nights and one night on the weekends.
