Brief trailer for Battlestar Galactica's season 4 (the last one!!!)

You don't want to know how many times I've seen this.

In other news, Mr. Mousie and I watched The Darjeeling Limited and I loved, loved, loved it to bits. Not just because it's the first movie I've seen where Adrien Brody wasn't horribly tortured, either. (Pianist was one of the best movies I've ever seen and I plan to never rewatch it). It's delicious and delightful and off-kilter. Basically, your usual Wes Anderson flick. If you are a WA fan like me, go watch.

Oh, and I am so glad I am not into Prison Break. It seems like some huge fandom brouhaha brewing. *hides*

I will reply shortly to everyone I owe replies to.

I have been rather LJ neglectful lately, but that is because of good RL things, so I don't feel sorry a bit...

ETA: You know what drives me insane? I bold movie/book/show titles. But am I supposed to bold the apostrophe as well, if it's e.g. "BSG's?"

WARNING: Vague spoilers for latest ep of Prison Break in comments.

I'm taking bets on whether they will make it on fandom_wank. I count on an "You aren't a real fan!/No YOU aren't a real fan!" arguments. Glad I mostly cleaned my flist of Prison Break related posters.

Is it wrong that I am sort of looking forward to wank? But joking aside, that is why I watch so few American shows: they don't have one storyline so bizarreness like this always happens.

The answer(to the best of my knowledge at least) is "no," but I doubt anyone would ever call you on bolding it...it's one of those "one way is the real right way but either one is ok" things.

The Prison Break fandom does seem rather scary lately, doesn't it? Like "OMG! OVARIES ON SUPERNATURAL!" levels of scary...

Well, I think the whole closed storyline thing certainly has its advantages. Again, I'm a procedural kind of person (CSI, Law and Orders ect), so I like both approaches, but I can certainly see the advantage to the whole miniseries deal, especially for certain kinds of stories.

Yeah, but at least this time, it's not the fandom that's being misogynistic, it's the show itself? (from what I've heard)

I am totally awaiting the wank. I'm bored.

I want some good fresh 'blood in the water' wank. And this sounds like PB wankapolypse...

Seems so, from what I heard, but there were contract disputes too, etc etc...

SPN fandom is always scary. PB seems to go in cycles...

And thanks on the apostrophe front. I am anal like that :)

Oooh what is the wank? I removed myself from all my Prison Break comms a while back when the show went retarded...

I don't want to post it outright, in unlikely event I have hardcore PB fans on my LJ who haven't seen it and hate spoilers, so here is a link to a summary.

OK, I don't watch a show and am not a shipper for it (obviously) but even I think that's playing with fire :) And suddenly, Rob Thomas is not the most hated by fandom showrunner any more :)

There is no wank yet (unless you count real person wank), we are just predicting. :)

Lemonade out of a lemon. Have they been talking to Frank Miller?

That is actually why I do not bold at all. The formatting issues that come with apostrophes!

SPN fandom is...rabid. Only word for it. Though amusing if you just skirt around the edges.

And thanks on the apostrophe front. I am anal like that :)

Welcome. Mind you, I'm not 100% positive, but I'm going by usage of people far more anal than you or I could ever dream of, and the fact that it's not actually a part of the title. And, if you know what I mean it's what instinctively "feels" right.

Well, as Frank Miller is such a paragon of feminism, it seems so.

(His art I can appreciate, his approach to women makes me never want to read anything of his or watch anything adopted from his stuff).

Well...one lives in hope :)

I do feel bad for the shippers though. I never watched PB but i did watch and ship in other shows, and I can imagine how horrible I'd feel.

Hmmm...I thought that it wasn't actually confirmed as to what was in the box just yet? 9Is it sad that I think I know EXACTLY what it's about despite never having felt remotely inclined to watch?)

Yes, I am not the only one who thinks of these things!!!

I like bolding because it's good when quickly scanning, to see what this is about.

From: [identity profile] meganbmoore.livejournal.com
I'm sure they are. Though...it didn't really originate there, it's just best known there.

Is it good or bad, though, that I knew it was a box, what was expected to be in the box, and many things about both the box recipient and the...uhm...box-ee?...despite never deliberately reading a single thing about PB? I mean...I know less things about fandoms I pay attention to...

I view Frank Miller as someone to appreciate his work as a concept as it moved a number of things forward, but the work itself is something I want to stay far, far away from.

these pesky formatting problems =( I'm usually fretting about capitalizing things - I write in lowercase, but capitalize names, and can't decide what to do with titles - capitalize? not? and when title is also a name? and when it isn't? frustrating >_>
