Yes, I went crazy for Fruits Basket. Craaaazy. I just bought the anime, I bought three more volumes (and buying the rest tomorrow), I went looking for wallpapers. Just as well, as I just finished my Ayashi No Ceres: Toya! I love you. How can you not love a guy who is in the middle of a mad fight, being all bad-ass and conentrated and destructive, and he tells the opponent (the Progenitor, who's been after Aya this whole time) 'I exist only for her' and mean it. *dies* OMG! And he found out she is having his baby and I love the panel where he reaches out and touches her stomach and his eyes are wet. (Progenitor, it's not a good idea to tell the guy you are fighting and who is doing a good job of murdering you as is, that you will kill the woman for whom he literally came back from the dead, and his unborn child). The ending makes me cry, with Aya and Toya ready to face anything, including the possibility that their time together may be short, and Aya heavily pregnant, and dreaming of all her dead friends and family.

But anyway, this is a sidetrack. I went looking for FB pics and fanfic (and I did find some good fic) but on that forum I also found a spoiler for chapter 130! And it made me EEEEEEE! (It's Kyo and Kyo/Tohru centric).

I've only read through volume 15 of Fruits Basket yet I know every major plot twist and how the series will end. You know why? Because I can't help myself! I see spoiler warnings and I click! I try to resist...but I am weak! :)

Anyway, this series is great, I'm only sad that the volumes come out so slow...the next one isn't out until April.

LOL. I didn't get Basara from the same source (the anime was ebay and manga volumes Borders and we don't have Basara there). But you'll be pleased to note that last night I placed an order for all the currently out volumes of 'Can't Lose You' (Korean manhwa I really like, I read the first two volumes last year) and threw in first vol of Basara. Let's see how it goes :)

What's bizarre is how bittersweet the curse ending is for everyone except Kyo. And you totally feel it with them - the loss of something they hated but were so familiar with they feel empty without it. But I don't think Akito "released" them from the curse. It was just time & it happened. If anything, "god" released them all. Finally. The only thing I don't think they ever fully explained is why Kyo had 2 forms. Unless it was punishment because, out of all the animals, he was the only "against his will" participant.

BTW, have you read the big spoiler about Akito yet? The secret that only the older Sohma's know (Shigure, Hatori, & the 2 others)?

You are right, I guess it's just something that they are used to (and I can see why Kyo is exempt from duality and is just joyful to be rid of it).
