There wasn't much drama in their relationship and they were both inherently OK but not fascinating individuals so eps and eps of niceness sort of lost me.
But I was OK with it, until his decision to ditch for a year. She was such a foldy rag at the time, and he just pronouced it and didn't even ask her to understand or anything. They tried to convey it with his 'I'll love you even if you don't' stuff but it just didn't work for me (I ranted about it at length, just click on my 'devil beside you' tag). I liked him well enough through most of it but after that I thought he was an utter jerk.

I liked the secondary OTP though.
