OK, something gotta give. I cannot possibly watch all the currently running (or dramas which finished but where subbing is in progress still) dramas on my list. Not with completed dramas I am watching/want to watch, with Farscape rewatch, with Bollywood and books and manga and anime.
Even if I did nothing but watch drama all day (which I cannot), there are not enough hours in the day.
So? Something gotta give. Not only am I not starting any new dramas (running or completed) until I finish half of the ones I am watching, but I am going to postpone a bunch of the ones currently running that I want to watch.
Currently, the roster is like this:
Taiwanese:
Warm Midsummer
Lucky Strike
Kid from Heaven
KO One
Result: They are all on hold. I do plan to watch them all when either they are completed and/or I have more time and/or finish some of the dramas I am currently watching, but for now, bye.
Japanese:
Proposal Daisakusen
Bambino
Liar Game
Romeo & Juliet SP
I am not even starting any in progress ones in addition to those (i.e. Hotelier or whatever).
I am not dropping ProDai. I am madly in love with it already, plus, it’s Yamapi. No way. And Liar Game’s eps are not only short, but the whole ‘naïve girl, cool conman’ thing owes me, especially with Matsuda Shota. And Romeo & Juliet is only two hours long. I was holding off it until it was subbed and now it is and I shall have my Takki feast :P
That means? Sorry, MatsuJun. I really like you and I am sure I’ll enjoy Bambino, but for now it’s out. Still, when there is more room, I’ll definitely catch up.

Hello Miss
If in love…like them
Oh, it’s inhuman to make me cut these down. But better than going insane ;P Thank You is nice and I like what little of it I’ve seen, but it will keep until it’s done.
The Devil? It’s very plotty, so I might as well save it until it’s over. I have no patience.
QSS. Oh, that’s a really tough one. It looks so amazingly good and I like what I saw a lot. But hey, people on soompi are mildly worried about the ending and it does seem like a thing I’ll enjoy marathonning. Still, it’s really number one on the list for when time frees up.
Witch Yoo Hee. Are you kidding? If I had to keep only one drama on the list it would be…ProDai. But if I could only keep two, this would be it. Stays.
Hello Miss: stays. I like it and it’s adorable. I am way behind though. So it stays, for now. But if the time gets cut down, this one gets to go until later.
If in love…like them: Awww, it’s pretty and only four eps. Stays.
So, not counting SPs like R&J and If in love, the currently airing dramas I am watching are: ProDai, Liar Game, Witch Yoo Hee and Hello Miss. Not too bad.
Of course, I am marathonning (alternating) Something Happened in Bali and Taiyou No Kisetsu. In addition to Farscape and reading Samurai Deeper Kyo, Vampire Knight and Platinum Garden manga/scanlations. Also reading six books, and with the unfinished dramas: Sang-Doo, Loveholic, Green Rose, The Outsiders, Beautiful Life, Magic Ring, Smiling Pasta, Love Story in Harvard, My love Patzzi and Nobuta Wo Produce still to finish.
Grah.
I’ve been moving through Something Happened in Bali like crazy.
It’s interesting because it’s a very rare thing that I really like the drama because of one of the characters. What I mean is, here the heroine doesn’t interest me much at all (I don’t dislike her or anything but…whatever. I do see why the guys like her, due mainly to the awesomeness and charisma of Ha Ji-Won who plays her) but I am totally into Jae-Min, the hero.
First off, a little observation. EEEEE! I love the scene where they are on an escalator and she is a step up and he is still taller than she. It’s one of my little things :P
I have a new favorite scene(s). After she’s been fired, she goes to Jae-Min’s office and demands to know what she’s done wrong. She, of course, has no idea he tried to fight his family about it. He is in a really bad mood and just fights back with her, and then he basically offers to pay her monthly living expenses. At which she storms out.
That is very very Jae-Min. He worries about Soo-Jung, he wants to take care of her, and he feels lousy he can’t, but he expresses it all wrong. Of course she is going to think you view her as a hor if you say things like that. Silly boy.
So he is sitting in his office for the rest of the day, just staring out, unseeing.
Oh, did I mention the awesome way he brushes off his evil fiancée? She’s started to show interest in him now because he is not interested in her. She seems to want him because she can’t have him. She invites herself over to his house ‘can you offer me some tea?’ then asks for cognac. He gets her some, and is just sitting there silently, far from her, and watching TV. She calls her Mom and is ‘I am staying over at Jae-Min’s’ (at which he gives her such a look) and asks for pajamas. So he brings her a set and gets his coat and she is all ‘whaaaa?’ and his response? ‘You can sleep here. I am going elsewhere.’ And he leaves. AWESOME. Win.
And then he ends up getting totally drunk and he calls Soo-Jung (actually her friend, she doesn’t have a cell) on the phone over and over, getting ‘this phone is not in service’ message and he is all drunkenly pleading to let him talk to her…And he ends up going to her house and falling asleep outside. AWWWWWWW. *dies a little* He totally looks like a lost little puppy who came to wait for its owner. A 6’ tall puppy in an expensive suit and with a hasty temper :P And she and In-Wook see him and In-Wook brings him in to let him sleep there and goes off elsewhere. Heh.
And he wakes up in the morning not really clear as to where he is and then he remembers, heee. And there is a note about dropping the key off next door, so he knocks on Soo-Jung’s friend’s door, looking all disheveled and is ‘is Soo-Jung there?’ (he seriously looks like a puppy) and Soo-Jung comes out and he is all ‘let’s go get lunch’ to which she replies that they are already eating. So (I swear) he makes puppy eyes and asks ‘is there enough for me?’ LOL. He’s just invited himself to a meal in her house in the slum. Adorableness.
Then he finds out during the meal that the friend’s cell was cancelled due to non-payment so he drags Soo-Jung out because they have somewhere to go, and he takes her to a really fancy store and buys her a cell-phone, and picks the phone number for it and gets it for them on a ‘lover’s plan’ and when she gives him a look he is all ‘well, the man said it was cheaper.’ And he is trying not to smirk and look ridiculously pleased with himself for being so clever and it’s adorable. Subtle and Jae-Min have never been neighbors :)
And then he leaves and her phone rings and it’s him and she is all ‘hello’ and hears it’s him blah blah short convo and meanwhile he is looking at her from behind a pillar and grinning and it’s adorable.
Even if I did nothing but watch drama all day (which I cannot), there are not enough hours in the day.

Date: 2007-04-23 11:37 pm (UTC)And I think that first half is the perfect testament to just waiting until doramas are finished...and why I won't let myself watch more than 1 "currently airing" dorama at a time myself.
and speaking of Vampire Knight...my Waldenbooks has stopped getting manga the weekend before they officially came out and is now getting them a week or two after they come out *growls* which means I didn't get vol 2(and a bunch of other stuff) over the weeked as planned. *sulks*

Date: 2007-04-24 12:01 am (UTC)Oh, my sentiments exactly. I could make a career out of watching everything. :)
And while at it, I should probably learn Korean and Japanese (I am versed in Mandarin, so the Taiwanese ones I can watch raw.)
(Hey, that's a thought!)

Date: 2007-04-24 06:32 am (UTC)I'm not watching any of your taiwanese dramas except for one ep of Ko One.
Which is awesome and funny and I wish people would sub it quicker:P
My jap dramas are all the same except no Takki, holding off Liar Game (I found this a *little* boring) and I'm adding hotelier.
For korean...all are the same except no 'if in love...like them, thankyou and the devil. Of course witch yoo hee, que sera sera and Hello! Miss stay. Yep, so that's what I'm up to :P
BTW y were ppl on soompi worried about QSS? I think it's very 'unkdrama-ish' I mean...the kissing...and other stuff! :P
I sooo need to cute back I have mid-year exams soon. But my rents went to parent/teacher last night and it was all good feedback so maybe I won't...Hehe...

Date: 2007-04-25 02:53 am (UTC)Although Liar Game subbers rock because they hardsub the episodes really quickly, it's awesome...
R&J was AMAZING...
I haven't started Bambino yet... when finals are over I might give it a go...
Do you watch ANY American TV at this point? I still try to keep up with heroes, Gilmore Girls, Idol, and Bones, as well as 30 Rock and How I Met Your Mother on occasion...
