We get this in the first five minutes of A Thousand Day Promise:

Whoa.
As you can tell, I started ATDP properly. I was delaying due to mixed reviews but finally curiousity won out (plus, you have a lot of time when you are minding a sick, sleeping child).
So far, one episode in, I really love it. But then, I tend to love dark melodramas, stories with damaged and damaging protagonists. Neither Kim Rae Won nor Su Ae portray good people but I cannot help but be drawn into their destructive world, their fractured story. KRW is excellent as always and, I think, this is finally a drama where I get the fuss about Su Ae. She left me cold in everything else I've seen her in but I love her performance in this.
