rabidfangurl that is located here. It's a work in progress but she is actively working on it and it is very long and VERY satisfying.
It's an AU which posits what would have happened if the Jedi never came to Tatooine in TPM. Anakin is still a slave when the story starts and Padme, because Anakin wasn't there to blow away the droid ship, goes into hiding from the Trade Federation and works in a cantina on Tatooine. Anakin leads a rebellion and then the Jedi come to Tatooine in hiding from Order 66...
Exerpt:
Obi-Wan found him sitting on the stoop of a building, a few blocks from the worst of the carnage. He didn't look scared, or sick, or like a man coming off a wave of bloodlust. Just tired. Obi-Wan imagined that if he had been up the better part of two days and had just fought a pitched battle, he would look tired too.
"Anakin, what do you feel when you kill?" The question had been building in Obi-Wan's mind since the fight with Argeh, and had been reinforced by Anakin's behavior in the square during the troopers retreat. He needed to know if the boy was dark, or merely inured to carnage.
The boy looked up, too dazed by exhaustion and confusion to reprimand Obi-Wan for using his name and not an honorific. "Nothing really. I'm not happy, but I don't mind it, either. It's just a thing you do."
