dangermousieMainland China decided to get into the whole Hana Yori Dango/Boys Before Flowers mania and is making its own Hanadan, casting these gentlemen as F4.
(1: Rui/Ji Hoo/Lei. 2: Soujiro/Yi Jung/Xi Men. 3: Domyouji/Jun Pyo/Daoming Si. 4: Akira/Woo Bin/Mei Tsuo).
I'll be blunt: they are ugly. And weedy. And hideously dressed. And did I mention ugly?
They also apparently plan to make it a love rectangle, with Domyouji, Rui and Soujiro after Makino now.
Oh, and rather typically, Makino is now super-smart and it's her goal to get into the prestigious school.And F4 aren't spoiled bored womanizers causing trouble for no reason: they are doing all their 'pranks' in order to get expelled as a protest against their parents' picking their lives for them. But once they meet Makino they see the light and reform and become top students at the school. Now we will finally have one version where Domyouji is a brain?

The differences (and reasons for them) are fascinating, but not enough to get me to watch. I shall chortle safely from a corner...
