Thus summary for The Kid From Heaven, a Taiwanese drama, first four of which eps I found subbed (subbing is on going):

They were young and madly in love. So they eloped. Soon, they were expecting their first child. However, the closer she was to her due date, the worse their marriage became. She finally called it quits when she found him cheating. She returned to her father's house and gave birth to her son, who died soon after birth. Disillusioned, she left with her father to America and cut off all contact with her husband and friends.

Years later, she returned with a fiancé. She went by another name and another past. She denied ever knowing them. Until, she met her beautiful and energetic son.

Her father had lied to her. Her son wasn't dead. Her friends had lied to her. Her husband wasn't cheating. If they were only lies, then how should she face herself for abandoning her child and the man she had loved? What about her fiancé?

Heeeeee. I swear to God I came across a really similar romance novel once. Only minus the kid. And can't you see this as a Bolly flick, evil Dad to be played by Amrish Puri?

My advice to the lady? Slug your Dad and your friends in the face (or hire someone who does kneecaps). But also try to find out what motivated them: maybe your ex used to torture puppies. Though seeing it's a twdrama, it's probably because he was pooooooor.

Then apologize to the husband profusely. But I think it's a little too late to renew the spark, especially since he is probably irrevocably mad and bitter and it would really be an uphill battle. Marry your fiance and live happily ever after, after getting restraining orders against your family.

The end.

Of course, this would make the drama two eps long. I am sure true love will prevail etc etc...You know Taiwanese dramas used to be my faves, even more so than Korean, and I finally stopped liking them so much because of the difficulty of finding English subs for them and the grief it was causing me :P

But I am so tempted back into mad love every time I come across something like this. DLing now :)

Btw, is The Outsiders entirely subbed? I really want it.

The Outsiders is quite probably my favorite Taiwanese drama OF ALL TIME. It's like my personal drama-version of The Godfather. I love crime stories and love stories and gang stories and intrigues, and this has them all. It's just that good. It references the S.E. Hinton novel and the 1980s film (the Chinese name is "Fighting Fish", which is the name of the gang in the American movie), and the concept itself is relatively similar (gang of childhood friends struggles to stay legit in a corrupt world), but oh, there are twdrama twists and turns, and there is of course an epic love story, and it is all quite riveting. And the best part? THERE IS A SEQUEL. The Outsiders II, which is probably one of the only drama sequels (other than say, HYD 2, which was a straight continuation of the storyline from HYD 1) that I deem worthy of being called as good as or better than the original. This is because the sequel manages to reinvent itself, within the confines of canon -- it's not a sequel, rather, it's retroactive continuity, taking place during a significant time jump that occurred in the original. And there are new characters and old characters and oh, it is really all so good.

That said, of course, I'm not sure at all if it's entirely subbed. I watched both unsubbed when they were first airing, and I know that someone on d-addicts was subbing "The Outsiders" but I don't know if it was ever completed. I think it might be possible to find them with subs on e-bay, though, but I'm not 100% sure. It's a shame, though, because this series is so good that everyone needs to watch it and rave.

Unfortunately, it's not entirely subbed, only up to episode 10. I went through that quickly and am not so patiently awaiting more eps. I love the soundtrack and the story is just so engrossing. Plus, there are all those cute boys! It seems that more Tdramas are getting subbed lately. I'm glad because there are quite a few I want to see.

Heh, that description grabbed me immediately when I saw it at jdramas. Unfortunately I don't currently have enough free space on my HD to dl it immediately, but I bookmarked it for later viewing (hopefully more subs will be available then, too).

Wow! That's big. I only have a measly 30 gig HD so I have to carefully choose what to download and when. At the moment I have Taiyou no Kisetsu, the entire series, taking up almost half of my HD space, and then there are of course all those music files (*cough* approx. 6 gigs worth of mp3s *cough*)
