Was Black Book good? Is it my rating up there? No idea. I screwed up the times it was playing, I was so exhausted. Better luck tomorrow. They are also play a Kazakh movie Nomad but that will wait until the weekend.

I am through volume 11 of Red River and it's awesome though I need a drawing board to keep track of plots and counterplots. I just love how functional Kail and Yuri are though together. That is something all my fave anime/manga couples have in common. I can root for a couple separated through circumstances or obstacles but when it's their own bloody stupidity, it's another matter. Most of my fave couples acknowledge their feelings quickly etc (e.g. wen not being threatened with murder/torture/rape/shapeshifter weirdos, Miaka and Tamahome are blindingly normal together).

Kail=awesome. I keep thinking of two scenes. One is when he and Yuri are reunited in the middle of a city falling about their ears and they are necking in some alley when some mercenary attacks and is all 'die now blah blah' and Kail, without stopping the kiss or letting go of Yuri with one hand, uses the other arm to stick his sword in the man's face and is all snarly 'can't you see, we are busy now, come back later.' LOVE. Or when he comes into this rndom town where Yuri is (long story) and he asks the Mayor where she is and the Mayor has no idea so he is all 'Let me rephrase it. Is there any area of your town where there is trouble brewing?' LOL. He knows his girl.

Btw, meganbmoore, I am not sure why you thought there was a lot of 'let's have sex, Yuri. No, Kail' stuff. I mean, there are a couple of brief scenes (natural enough) and that's it. In volume 9 she is actually the one all about 'mmmm, sexing' and he is all 'nope' (because she is planning to go back soon so he thinks that added tie between them is a bad idea. Actually he's right because I wonder if Yuri thought about lack of birth control :P) And it's actually not much of a point in the story in any volume.

Am most likely going to watch my just-in-from-netflix DVD of the Russian movie Railway Station for Two tonight.

Or just go to bed. I am so tired I can barely see straight.
