So, I assume all the Bollyholics on my flist know that the Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan just got engaged? Well, I love both of them, so here are some pictures of the two of them together from their latest movie, Guru. (btw, smartylibrarian, want to see it this weekend?)

I am very amused at the thought of the "Most Beautiful Woman in the World" and the "Sexiest Asian Man" hooking up. Even more amused that prior to Guru, their last movie together (they did a number, including the delightful Kuch Na Kaho) was Dhoom 2 where their character both were with other people. I maintain that she fell for him because he is one of the few Bolly stars taller than she :D

As wonderful as Abhishek is, I can't help but bemoan his lack of scruffiness in this movie. The scruff is sexy!

And Ash is always beautiful, but seeing her look so softly traditional in a vaguely south Indian sort of way makes me uber-happy.

Not that many Bolly stars marry other Bolly stars, especially not when both of them are so huge, so this is exciting Bolly stuff :D (Funnily enough, Abhishek's parents were sort of like that too. Big stars at the time of their wedding).

My boyfriend is going to be out of town starting Thursday, so I'll be climbing the walls once the weekend rolls around.

I have been SO out of the bollywood gossip loop (I've taken a long hiatus from the bollywhat board, etc.) that I didn't even know that Ash and Vivek had broken up LOL! So when I heard that Ash & Abhi were engaged I was quite shocked.

They are both beautiful, but I still don't really see them together. I liked the Abhi/Rani rumors. They are sooooo adorable together!

I hope they are happy though and are marrying for all the right reasons.

(Even though Abhi is really in love with me and will pine for me whilst marrying Ash...) lol
