Barcelona: best city in Spain
May. 28th, 2005 08:28 pmsecond day in Barcelona. It has displaced Cordoba as my favorite Spanish city.
Where else can you see scores of performers in face paint, witness a solemn Catholic wedding in an ancient church with random passerby shouting congratulations (and drivers ducking into a tapas bar for a drink), notice a clown talking to a person putting on bronze body paint, ride a gondola that takes you all the way from the beach to the top of the mountain, dip your toes in the mediterranean, witness Gaudi“s monstores Sagrada Familia from up close, and sit on top of a Medieval Cathedral....
Love it!
